Count me in as one of those that is scratching his head at the lack of seeing Thornton on the court. He did nothing but hit open 3 point shots over and over again during the pre-season. If you offense is stagnated why not put someone in the game that can stretch the court for James or Ty?
That's a communication breakdown. It's something that is fixable, but something that shouldn't still be a problem with guys who have played together for a few years.
Yeah I agree, this is mostly fixable but it's still concerning the lack of focus. Dwight should have seen that switch and roll a mile away, he was just a second too late. What makes that play work is speights threat at the top of the key where he is really good. Imagine if our guys had that kick space!
It is obvious that harden never opens his mouth to speak when he decides to switch and expects from his teammates to magically make a guess. Most of all those gifs were clearly on harden.
I think it might be time to switch to a more idiot-proof defense that doesn't rely on a ton of communication because you have 3 guys in the starting lineup that are pretty bad at defense especially when it comes to switching and making proper rotations. With 3 "dumb" defenders, you have to have a simpler defensive plan and scheme. Now Jones will eventually be out of the starting lineup making it only 2 "dumb" defenders, but with this current scheme, Lawson and Harden are enough to burn you time and time again.
A lot of those plays is Harden switching before the screen even comes...like what? No wonder why Ariza, Howard, and Lawson are caught confused for a second.
Just a completely dumbass.... He's still way butthurt over some nasty skank filled with Odom's sloppy seconds. Why Harden? She's not worth it. Who cares
Harden will never be a good leader if he continues to do whatever he wants and McHale allows him to do whatever he wants.
BTW all these gifs courtesy of bball breakdown, just posting here for easier viewing... Here is another example of lack of focus from Brewer. There was actually another play with Curry inbounding to Green for a 3 that they made, same play. Just because this is just a good play. I've always thought Green was actually the guy who made the Warriors great. The biggest difference between pre-Kerr Warriors and post-Kerr is not Kerr, but inserting Green into the starting lineup and upping his minutes. Because he can do things like this along with play league best level defense (Things Tjones tries to do sometimes but instead pulls up for a jumper that misses.) And this one where I want to say Harden saw 3 people in the paint so he thought Brewer (I'm not sure why he thought that) would pull up for the 3, or it could have just been a bad pass, either way this happens more often than I would like -- you know, brewer barging into the lane on a fast break and missing.
Yep he is a liability the last 2 games. His man clearly ran past him and hr standing there looking at the ball.
