I have never been on the fire McHale bandwagon but after tonight, this is certainly an eyebrow raise. The chatter all preseason was continuity, with or without Dwight, we should be sharp on defense. We weren't tonight and the second half of last season. Is that Tom Thibodeau music I hear? Too soon I know but just a thought.
i would have expected all that to stop after cyberx's rep system guerilla sniper was banned. but surprisingly, the cyber terrorists have held steady in their intifada against the blasphemers of prophet mchalemed
Yeah I saw the same thing and also Brewer going one on 4.... But as ibm stated... Is this a product of McHale or Morey? I agree with you that the team had no discipline what so ever... T_Man
Malone was ready for the Rockets to exploit Faried like we have the past two years and McHale didn't adjust, or care. We'll need to out-talent teams again this year, but that's no surprise.
When Dwight the goat comes back all of sudden Mchale becomes a great coach. The truth is we should have won this one even without Dwight but the reality is Harden has been getting lazier and dumber every year due to the nonchalant staff. Harden was good his first year here and is steadily declining
Yes and the roster around him got better. Wouldnt you agree? From Asik and Lin to Dwight, Ariza, Ty...he doesnt play defense no more.
Did he win it though? That was the team. Brewer, Josh Smith, Dmo, and Dwight. Do you know how badly Dwight is hated in the media? And Bev won the most skilled pg. STATS prove coaching doesn't matter.
How is his D worse last year than when he first came here? Stats and eyeball tests have both shown he went from horrible to below average at least last year on D.
Gallinari, Nelson, Barton, and the rookie Mudiay took full advantage of Harden, Lawson, Brewer, and Beverely. Gallinari caught on fire and took over the game in the 3rd when things got out of hand. Lauvergne went 4-5 on Capela. The entire team played like dumpster juice. McHale has to do a better job and we need a defensive minded assistant coach.
We have to accept the fact that this team has a bad PF lineup and a mediocre coaching staff. Not good, not bad, just mediocre coaching. Combined, the two hurdles are too big to win a championship, but not big enough to stop the team from winning a significant number of games in the regular season and make some noise in the playoffs. Being in the ultra competitive Western conference just makes things very difficult That's just reality. Set your expectations accordingly and you will not be disappointed.
