Interested in folks take on Armada. The reviews on Amazon weren't all that good, but I prefer the opinions of people here (some of the best books I have read I found out about here). I just picked up "Wool" by Hugh Howey.

Still can't wait for the movie. Super pumped.

I need to reread the book, though. Those comments I made earlier in the thread seem like forever ago.

    Will check out Armada.

It was an enjoyable read. If you're looking for some sort of classic literature, you're not going to find it. If you liked Ready Player One and are looking for something in the same vein, Armada will fit the bill.

I loved RP1 and I liked Armada. The problem I had with Armada is in the first few chapters. A lot of the nostalgia references seemed forced until the big shift in the novel happens. I don't want to spoil anything but you will know when you get to that point. After the shift the references are spread a little more but In the beginning it was almost annoying that they tried to have some sort of throwback comparison in almost every sentence. Like others said it was a very entertaining lite read and I enjoyed it. It was somewhat predictable and I had to push through the first part but if you liked RP1 you will like probably like this one.

The audio book is really good and read by Wil Wheaton.
