MJ played 17 games that season. If he hadn't retired we wouldn't have won a ring. I just think we were the only team smart enough to take advantage of that time

    Wrong.

It didn't matter how many games mj played.
They completely changed the front line of that team the year after because they lost to orlando.

What part of they lost to orlando and they got rodman the next year can't you figure out.

Did you even watch that series? Jordan dropped 39 in game 5 and he dropped 40 in game 3.

Pretty sure Rockets had a winning record against the Bulls during that early-mid 90s period. Maxwell never locked down Jordan or anything but at least held him to human numbers and the Bulls simply didn't have an answer for Hakeem. Rockets matched up very well against the Bulls. It's too bad Jordan and the Bulls couldn't get it done against the Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals. Rockets held their end.

The rockets should have gone after rodman. I guess san antonio wouldn't trade him to a rival.

Traded will purdue for dennis rodman.

    Unbelievablely lopsided.

Conspiracy to get MJ a superteam.

Who knows maybe David Stern repaid the spurs with #1 Duncan

    There was luck involved.

Bulls got lucky they didn't run into the Rockets any of those 6 years. As MJ said - it's a good thing the Rockets couldn't get out of the western conference because we got no answer for that monster in the middle.

Anyone who can't see that the '95 Bulls simply didn't have the front court to win an NBA championship is ignorant or trollin'. MJ and Pippen alone doesn't get it done.

Horace Grant was gone. The next year the Bulls went and solidified their team with excellent role players like Ron Harper and one of the best front court defenders of their time in Rodman. There were also great backups like Kukoc, Kerr, and productive players like Brian Williams coming in and out all of the time. The Bulls were stacked from 96 onwards, but that 95 team was bare and Houston would have beaten them IMO. Especially with the way Hakeem was playing.

No one can predict what would have happened in 94, but we had an insanely athletic and physical team with outside shooters the Bulls had never seen. We were bigger, faster and stronger than those Bulls. It would have been a great series.

Maybe if Jordan doesn't retire/quit/get suspended (Take your pick) we would know.

I know this has been said over and over again. Probably in this thread, lol. But Jordan played during one of those championships. He and the Bulls couldn't get past Orlando. No more of this asterisk garbage.

    good post badlee!

This an actual article for that era.
For people who saw that series, it's obvious and also if you didn't see it, you could just look at the front line stats for both teams.

It was never the absolute bullcrap excuse that Jordan only played half a season.
Jordan was NOT A FACTOR on LOSING. That dude drop 39 and 40 points on Orlando.

Clearly Phil Jackson knew that they needed a better front line to compete.

Fast forward to Phil in Los Angeles, guess what? He has SHAQ and ROBERT HORRY.

Stop talking ****, all you do on this message board is interact with anyone who says anything good about T-mac or Yao.

All you do is troll those people.

koperboy is 100% correct. If he were wrong, you would spend most of your time in that thread about Lin, then make a new thread about it just to troll them and pump yourself up.

You are the biggest troll on clutchfans, stop talking **** about what you are to do this message board.
