Really no reason to keep anyone.

Both Smith and Bob had their parts in building the roster

We have good young pieces in Watt, Hopkins, Brooks and Clowney

They deserve a better front office

Damn, you guys want to fire O'Brien already... When lip prints are still fresh on his azz from all the azz kissing that was going on around here when he was hired.

Anything after Kubes was a breath of rose scented fresh air. :)

Well that wasn't me. I was concerned we interviewed a whopping TWO coaches in our search

Kubes was and is pretty good.

He did build a contender here before Schaub fell apart and he's done nothing but kick ass in Baltimore and Denver.

We kept Rick Smith over him? Smh

I think he wanted OBrien from the beginning. He fired Kubiak during the season so he could interview Lovie Smith and satisfy the Rooney Rule and work quickly to get his guy.

That being said, it was time for Kubes to go and I wouldn't want him back but the fresh air has turned to the smell of O'B sh**ting his pants.

    Why was it time?

From my understanding Rick Smith made the decision to extend Schaub, not Kubes.

Rick should have taken the fall. Instead we've been dealing with whatever the heck he does

Rick Smith can't teach professional football players how to tackle.

OBrien won last year with Kubiak's team. He's had the chance to put a bigger stamp on this team this year and we see the results. Even the 2-14 team with Schaub never looked this bad.

Don't kid yourself, Schaub was Kubes decision and exactly why Smith needs to go. Smith is just a patsy.

And who exactly is the Morey of the NFL?

I'd rather have the Popovich of the NFL honestly.

    How do you know this?

Rick was trying to get a bigger role and he threw Kubes under the bus.

    That's why he survived

That 2-14 team was mostly because of the Schaub meltdown

Right. At least we could put a finger on the reason. With this, there is no explanation.

Well we wasted at least 10 picks with trade ups and veteran cuts.

We signed and extended mediocre veterans.

    That about sums it up

It may have been Kubes decision, but I don't think anyone expected for him to decline so quickly. That last year the offensive line was horrible.

I wish I knew who really makes the decisions. There seems to be some kind of group decision making process at work I believe. I'm sure the coaches have a lot of input, which I don't have a problem with. I just wish someone could hit on some draft picks. I don't care who does the picking, just do better.

Didn't Kubes hand pick Schaub? Didn't Kubes say no to Manning in favor of Schaub?

For all we know, Jalean Strong could be a phenomenal receiver. But Obrien refuses to put him in the game. Wilfork's signing has OBrien and Crennel's fingerprints all over it. Obrien said he wanted McKinney and Kevin Johnson.
