No, the point is the segment reminded everyone that HBK is still a bigger star than Rollins, and Rollins is not comparable. I don't think you are smart enough to see that.
Of course Michaels is a bigger star than him... Shawn has three decades worth of great matches. I don't think anyone thinks Rollins is the greatest wrestler of all time yet but he is a remarkable talent and will be a top player for a long time.
Alberto Del Rio... that was underwhelming. The WWE continues to try and make him a big deal. He won MITB, won the WWE Title, Won the Royal Rumble, Won the WHC, and still he never got over. I like him as an in iing performer, but he's likely gonna be just as boring the 2nd time around.
Oh yeah, Nikki>Charlotte, can't believe I'm typing that. The NXT girls and Natalya were making her look much better than she is. She isn't bad, but she's still very sloppy. Her in ring inexperience is showing.
I'm excited that we may be seeing Taker on a more regular basis, and I think it's a sort of keeping fresh bump-wise for a strong showing at Mania. Tickets go on sale November 9, caught it on smackdown (Breeze made it worth it, and Ryback landed a nice snap powerbomb on Owens). ADR holding the US title brings it back down to where it was pre-Cena, and honestly Cena's challenge was becoming just another stage where he shows how many finishers he can kick out of. The women's title has lost it's appeal with Paige flip flopping every week. The ppv IC match lasted less than 6 minutes with a clean finish, what was even the point. Reigns and Wyatt was a very entertaining match though.
Charlotte might still be green at times but that counter from the top rope was one of the most athletic things I've seen in a wrestling ring. That match was so well put together. I love how Charlotte sells attacks from opponent, it's by far the best of any woman on the roster. Her chops look wierd but sound impactful. But no way is Nikki Bella close to her level. And ALBERTOOOOOOO. That was awesome. Did not see that coming with the success he was having in Mexico. One of the best performers in the ring. So glad he is back. That match tonight was the best outside of the cell matches. Holy crap was that fun. The crowd is definately into Del Rio. Bray/Reigns killed it. HiaC is Bray's match now. Holy **** can he brawl. He would have been an ECW champion. One of my favorite HiaC matches ever. New Day/Dudleys was fun and good Lesnar/Taker was great again. Don't know if the end was the Wyatt family sitting up a traditional Survivor Series match vs. Taker, Shield & Orton or Taker being recruited into the family or just how he's going out for good
The point was there was 50 minutes left in the show with Lesnar/Taker too come. That's the reason for a 6 minute match. Don't know what Paige flip flopping each week has to do with your appeal of the title. And she's still very clearly a heel who's looking for a way too attack Charlotte and challenge for the belt, could see it all over her expressions. ADR is a huge upgrade title holder. He's one of the best wrestlers on the planet. He's brutal. He's athletic. And he works well with any style wrestler.
That's not his finisher, the cross arm breaker submission is. And that is a vicious kick to the face. Nothing at all bad about. Shawn Michaels, Shinsuke Nakamura have won titles with it. And neither makes it look as devastating as Del Rio's sounds
My only real complaint was how short the IC match was. KO needs someone new to feud with. The 2 cell matches were awesome, but I was really hoping Bray would win. Reigns is going to be pushed for years to come, he can afford a loss. Hopefully Bray Wyatt will be the face of HIAC from now on. This should be his PPV.
I couldn't even be mad that the IC match was short because even though KO is my favorite right now I can't get thru a Ryback match without fast forwarding
I think I dislike the kneeling aspect of it, where that's the only setup for it. I'd take the bomaye and the sweet chin music anyday. Sweet chin music can come from nowhere, and it usually takes multiple bomayes for Nakamura to get the pin in the njpw matches I've seen. But since that kick's not a finisher I guess it's pointless to argue. That match was like 8 minutes too, so that's two title matches made short for the cell matches. Honestly I would have cut time from the Rollins Kane match to flesh out the US title, since we didn't even see the cross armbreaker that the commentators were selling the whole match. But they also kept talking about Cena looking off his game so I don't know if they were trying to put ADR over or not
It's really was, super glad it's a weekly show. I thought it was a 30 minute special. Going to really put over NXT talent and all that they have endured to make it.
Still not a huge fan of ADR, but I like that he's getting pins without having to use his finisher. It's pretty formulaic with guys like Dolph never getting pins from a superkick or Rollins getting his falcon arrow kicked out of all the time.
How would he get a pin from his finisher? Isn't it a submission? I liked breaking ground but was bummed because I watched the sneak peak after hell in a cell only to find out it wasn't a sneak peak but the entire first episode
Del Rio has a unique part time schedule where's he still contracted to work 7 AAA shows a month in Mexico, likely he'll remain a AAA Champion as well, but likely won't be on WWE's European tour because of it.
