    Great work, tie22. Thanks!

    This stood out...

Audience: You been participated in a lot of commercial activities, is that against what you like?
Ming: I am afraid the answer is yes.

    Host: What do you prefer?
Ming: More discipline. At least during this summer, I wished I can have some time for myself every night and more time for rest.

The guy needs rest! His schedule is nuts.

Q: Will your parents be with you next season ?
    A: yes.

Q: What was your biggest dream when you started playing bball ?
A: Be on the national team. When I was 15 or 16 years old, my dream was playing with Wang Zhizhi. Most 7 footers are heavy and slow. But Wang Zhizhi is fast and athelic, and just opened my eyes what the true center should be ( bad translation )

Q: what was your dream when you joined the national team ?
    A: Compete in the Olympics.

Q: what was you next goal after the Olympics games ?
    A: CBA championship!

Host: if i am not mistaken, your goal become playing in NBA after CBA champion.
    A: thats right.

Host: what is your goal now ?
Q: Playoff. I am sure we will make it.

Host: You are so lucky. Seems you have fulfill all dreams already. Any insight to share with our audience ?
A: Never give up (bad translation ). Set up your goal and work hard to achieve it.

Q: who do you like most in NBA ?
    A: Boki.

Q: what do you think about rockets offsesaon moves ?
A: They showed new coach's skyle. Defense.

Q: Who is you best friend in China ? Liu Wei ?
    A: yes.

    ...

Q: you lost Roy to amare. what are your thoughts about that ?
A: I think i am better than him. (this is my thought ! hehe). But it is not important anymore.

    A: Spurs and Fakers.

    Q: and CBA ?
    A: the army.

Q: very excited to play the army this Sat ?
A: not that much as before.

    ...

Q: your field goal percentage dropped significantly from CBA to NBA. Is that caused by increased competioon or your focus shifted to stengh training ?
    A: the former.

Q: what do you think about Shrek ?
A: He is like a mountain. I am afraid I cant conquer him in my first two years. :D

Q: does the coach change affect you anything ?
A: I hope they dont do it too often.

Q: will collin come back next season ?

The only thing that jumps out at me with all his interviews is the fact that he's always TIRED. How the hell are we going to win the Championship when our big man is perpetually tired. Can we just kidnap him from China already or just payoff the Chinese government?

    Completely out.
At first I'm shocked that Yao said this because it doesn't seems like the Yao that I known. I checked the Chinese version and found out that the translation is completely out. Below is what he actually said:
"If I have to say, I'll say that I'm also qualify for the award. But they made it to the playoff. From thiis perspective, I'm a little jealous of him(Refer to Amare). But right now I think it is more important to concentrate on the coming match rather than pondering on why I miss the award."

    jli,

    thanks for finishing it.

I think this will be the first and last time to do any translation. It took me 2 hours for 3/4 of it and I got a terrible headache afterward.

almost every interview w/ yao he always mentions that he is tired. i sure hope he is not too 'shy' to let both the chinese and rockets know that he is tired. it sure doesn't sound good when its still the 'off season' the guy is already tired.
