Smart organizations don't extend unless it's no brainer max contract like Harden or if the player is willing to take a hometown discount to stay with the team.
That's essentially a vote for RFA. 1. As a previous poster pointed out, we can't give him a 5-year extension because we gave it to Harden. and 2. If you're gonna give him a 5-year max deal, why not just give it to him next summer and not risk him getting hurt or falling off this year? So you can throw them in with the first choice.
No No No No. I voted for this option because I meant DMo should get the largest and longest extension possible. I did not mean to vote for RFA.
I put in 4/60, and I thought I would be in the minority. But it was the highest voted choice. It seems like crazy money for a 4th wheel, but DMo solves three problems - back up C, stretch PF, and a guy that you can dump the ball in the post to and just let him work. But my guess, given DMo's ambitions, is that he may leave the Rockets irregardless of money for a larger role. He could probably be a 2nd offensive option on many teams. On the Rockets, he's not even guaranteed to start. Don't forget McHale kept him out of the Portland playoff series in favor of watching Terrence Jones get abused every trip down by LaMarcus Aldridge.
When did you become such a troll? I swear this is a recent development, but I can't say I'm that familiar with your posts.
a guy who has back injury history doesn't sign a QO. So he won't have a choice "irregardless of money" unless it's the QO. And if you pay him enough to keep him you better start him coz he's gonna get a very big contract.
