This was a good pick up for both parties. D12 is hated in USA, and we do not buy "Big Man" shoes. D12 is beloved in China to 2 Billion fans, he filled the shoes of Yao Ming on "China's Team" These Chinese brands are no joke signing big names albeit some are in the "twilight" of their career. Jason Kidd Tony Parker Luis Scola Chandler Parsons Klay Thompson Kevin Love Not pretty to look at, but D12 is cashing checks. If it is not your thing, just wait until soon to be brother in law, Kanye West designs an Adidas Harden 1.
They're actually not bad. Here is an in-depth article with the designer of the U.S. shoe: http://www.nicekicks.com/2015/09/09/interview-designer-quintin-williams-details-dwight-howards-peak-dh1/?utm_campaign=twittercard&utm_medium=twittercard&utm_source=twittercard
The shoes don't actually look too bad. I'm not feeling that logo though.... Don't get how the logo has anything to do with DHoward.
The top edges of the logo should be straight across, not curved. Then it might bring to mind some sort of highly unusual "H" instead of what Crashlanded 19 rightly described as looking like an "A" - kinda weird, in my humble opinion. While not jumping up and down in joy about the shoes, I do like the mustard and red. Just wish it had been done a bit differently. Needs fine tuning. Having said all that, I hope they're damn good shoes for Dwight to wear on the court. That's my main concern. The right shoes for an athlete, regardless of the size of the player, is critical.
Pretty sure that logo is only conceptual. https://www.behance.net/gallery/29523125/Dwight-Howard-Identity
When can I get a pair of Li-Nings, Anta, or Peaks at the local Finish Line? What's taking so long for this to happen?
