Ok, joke boy may have proven me wrong.

That being said, there are no Taco Cabanas in Dallas to my knowledge. I will trade you two 7-11s for a Taco Cabana.

I think there's still one on Preston Road just south of Frankford in Far North Dallas. But I'm not completely sure on that.

Yes, there is still a Taco Cabana on Frankford and Preston. Not a bad place, if you don't mind all kinds of insects running around near your food. :)

We had a place in Amarillo called Taco Villa that was pretty good. Along with the Mexican foodstuffs, they also had really good french fries, which was a little weird.

Eventually, they closed down. For some reason, though, they reopened very soon after that. And there continues to be Taxo Villas in Amarillo to this day.

I remember Del Tacos. Halfway between Taco Bueno and Taco Hell in my book.

DoD, you are such a snob! Comeon down outta your ivory tower and eat chain store tacos like the rest of us slobs!;)

I'll be showing my age with this, but in my youth we didnt have those Street Fighter type games in 7-11s. Just Asteroids and Defender and Joust or Pacman(Ms Pacman). but we still would stay there for hours playing them.

Ah, good memories of youth..when we had nothing better to do with our time than feed quarters into games.
    :)

Taco Bueno! Ha. My sis used to take me to one with this tabletop model Pac-Man machine. Think it was on Spencer.

There used to be a couple of abandoned Taco Bueno ruins lying around town that looked really cool with all the brush growing over them. Like Indiana Jones sets. ;)

    I agree.

No way! It has nothing to do with ivory towers. Man, that is some rancid food at Taco Bell and Del Taco. Taco Bueno is better, but that ain't sayin' much. I used to eat at Taco Bell when I was in college. Lord, I don't know how I ate that stuff.

Just as an aside, I remember I used to love drinking Tang as a kid. Drank the stuff by the gallons. I recently decided to walk down memory lane and try some Tang. That stuff has the nastiest aftertaste.... blech.

Over here we have 7-11's and Del Tacos.

the 7-11s are run by Indian people who drive BMW's and wear Rolex watches.

The Del Taco's are run by mexicans and have employees who are not mentally stable.

Orange Tang back in the 80's was the bomb drink.
