no, that is fresh...thx. some recycled quotes, but fresh.

When the Summit roared on that first Dream Shake, I really thank that touched him. He played with the team, for the fans, and for a win himself, after that.

    Welcome back Hakeem!

it really anoys me how Hakeem will show no respect for the organization, openly saying he wants to leave, then say he's "content" I just don't understand that guy. The only reason that's stopping me from hating him are those two little championships he has won for the Rockets. Thats reason enough, i guess.

Maybe Dream is just going through a mid-life crisis or something.

Wow. Great news. Great, great news.

Of course the first thing I thought was, "Hey, Dream, how can you leave when we're about to trade for (so-and-so)?" But whatever else happens, good to know he's sticking around.

It just assures to me more than ever that it's pride.... Hakeem wants to be important, a focal point, show he can play... he did that last night and had a huge impact in the Rockets' win.

Question is was it a fluke or will he/the team keep this up? Guess we'll find out...

Hakeem, you SOB, i'm glad you came back to your senses.

Deep, deep down i still had hope that the man i have admired for the past few years hadn't died. I'm glad it is so.

Damn b*stard almost brought a tear to my eyes with those comments.

    Welcome back Hakeem. Welcome back.

Something tells me that Francis saying "he and I are unstoppable", and probably emphasizing the point w/ coach has had something to do w/ Dream's desire to salvage his Rockets career.

Impressive, but I never thought less of the guy. Even keel baby, even keel. [IMG]

OH SHIET! That's crazy! My dad told me the other day after he came back from a meeting, (it was with some Reliant people I think, cuz he got a mug and everything [IMG]) anyways, he told me that soon in a day or two that Hakeem would be announcing that he was gonna stay in Houston the rest of the year. I was like no way because a few weeks back when the trade speculations were running wild he had said that he talked to Dream and dream said he was staying. And this time I asked him who his source was and he wouldn't tell me but he said that in a day or two Hakeem would say this. He told me this on Sunday Monday and here it is Tuesday and this comes out. Wow, maybe I should start believing him more.

If you're right, Rockets R us, then he decided it before the game. Now it's like the chicken and the egg...

Did his decision to dedicate himself make him play that way, or did playing that way make him re-dedicate himself?

If we can continue to see a Francis-Hakeem duo like that, I don't care...

Gotta live it! This is the best news I've heard in weeks!

I feel a serious winning streak coming on folks!

I told you guys he did not want to be THE MAN, that he only wanted to be utilized.

I also said that the biggest issue was that Rudy had not sat him down and explained his role...

Guess what, Rudy sat down, explained his role, decided that the Rockets are better with an energized, contributing Dream, and he comes out and plays well.

It is not surprising to me in the least, if Dream gets his touches, he will make this team better...GUARENTEED !!

I would be extremely surprised if the Rockets weren't able to pull themselves out of the muck, after Hakeem and Stevie have decided to dedicate themselves to winning.

What was strange to me was that never before Hakeems announcement and meetings with CD and RT did I ever see Hakeem "high five" or "point" to one of the other guys on the team. After he and CD had a chit chat, I began to see this more an more every game. I think he changed his mind a while back, but didn't know if the team had changed. Obviously, there have been more in and out plays run for Hakeem, but one thing was obvious is that Cat has to work along with it as well. I really don't mind all the Jacks as much, because he is a SG. But there was one particular time during the 3rd quarter the other night that "Jack" got the ball down in the corner, juked, juked, crossed over about 5 times, all the while Hakeem had his man pinned in down low begging for the ball. Could he not see the man was on a mission, or was he just trying to get involved????? That I don't know, but I think the smarter move is to always feed the guy in a zone until he falls out of it. Ride the mule until it's dead.
