Don't have access to the preseason. But I know neither Capela nor Howard can shoot a jumpshot that well.

Rockets just need to get them tired of defense. Run them out the building.

If LMA wants a successful stint in SAS, he better do whatever it takes to keep Timmy D playing as long as he can. I believe he is the perfect compliment to Lamarcus and not to mention Ginobili's dimes make it easier for him too. Indeed, it is scary.

Don't know what shooting a jump shot has to do with anything in this situation. Dwight has always done well against Duncan without a jumper. Capela has a fluidity to his game makes me think that lack of a LONG range jumper won't make a Capela/Dwight front court an offensive liability. We have seen Capela hit that short jumper before and, if preseason is any indication, is a good passer coming out of the PnR.

You mean Dwight and Capela can't DEFEND a jump shot? I disagree with that too if that's what you mean.

    1) Jones may or may not be starting when we play them

    2) if he is, I would hope our defensive schemes have gotten more sophisticated to stop a guy like him rather than hoping that Jones or whoever guarding them 1 on 1 can stop him by themselves.

LMA is one of the best in taking advantage of mismatches in height/weight and abusing the opponent. The so called "bullyball". That's why I reallyyy doubt that Capella will be able to guard him in the post, at least yet.

And that's also one reason why the Spurs won't need to go small. When you have players who can dominate with rebounds, and go down low and take care of mismatches it takes away from the advantages of smallball.

Dude it's preseason. Spurs are too old...also, our bench murders their bench. Call me when they play a real team. Not impressed.

The key is to have him in early foul trouble. Shouldn't be a problem if DMO is 100%
LMA on Howard ?? Easy money.

I would say that Terrence Jones has athleticism going for him. I remember a few seasons back when JJ Hickson tore the Spurs apart with his athleticism alone.

What are you saying here? Hickson? Hickson is a pedestrian big. He's not a difference maker. Never has been. You don't seriously think Hickson can match up with the Spurs in a 7-game series and win his matchup....do you?

i think the spurs are done. i told a bunch of friends this the other night (they are all spurs fans) and they thought i "was crazy & on drugs" but injuries will drag them down all season.

they are finally just simply too old.

If y'all wanna crown em, well **** it and crown em.

The Rockets are just as deep but much younger.

we want our boys in red to do the best obviously, but there is nothing wrong with admitting that their parts fit dangerously well together.
