It was just a contusion. I get them every 3rd pick up game I play (don't know why. My technique for driving to the basket must be really bad). That, or the fact I'm 5'5" makes everyone's knees the same height as my thighs lol.

That being said, I've read that the worst grade contusions can take a month to recover from (for a normal person not playing professionally). For a pro, it would take several months to come back to 100% pro baller shape.

 

Still would not play him at all in the preseason. I know he wants to play but lock him inside his house.

OKC is pretty much hell. And now he's in Charlotte, which is like super hell.

The bad thing about this injury is that even though it doesn't seem serious, he likely won't play much, if any, more in the preseason, which is unfortunate since I was really hoping that he and Lawson would get some time together to get used to playing with each other before the season starts.

 

I knew he was okay. I think the reason why he got really upset is because he knew the coaching staff will probably not going to let him play much more in the preseason and he really wanted to play a good amount of minutes in the preseason in order to work off his rust. That's why he was pretty upset because he knew he won't be able to put in the work he wanted in the preseason.

 

I'll take it. That bullpen isn't winning a World Series this year.

 

Can't play scared. If Harden played hard on that play, it would have been a different story. He took it easy and paid the price. You see it in football all the time, player relaxes and gets hurt. I'm not saying he has to go 100%, but he needs to go harder than he did. An engaged body tends to stay injury free.

Come on, now. You gotta believe! This Astros team is solid. So are the Royals, we can win the next game and if we do that we can beat anybody. Perseverance!
