UGG...Phi Slamma Jamma! Then Oilers vs Bills...and then Oilers versus Steelers in the 70's every year they played in the playoffs but this game ranks up there for sure but it's not over yet is the difference in my opinion

you can say the same thing in the blaming of harris.

he shouldn't have been in past 2 hits, certainly not past the 3rd.

so i guess that isn't hindsight.

    Effective. Good plate discipline.

Better than, say, [some] Astros batters swinging at the first pitch, making one out.

Uhh.... yeah well when you have a chance to go up 2-0 in a series, with your ace going at home in game 3, and you know your pen is bad..... you go to Fiers.

When you are leading 2-1 in the series, at home, and have a bad bullpen, one that just got exposed in game 2, and you have a good arm available, like Fiers.... you use him.

At any point along that path Hinch could have gone to Fiers and he didn't.

I'm not sure a young team bounces back from a loss like this.

This: you are so right what does Hinch do his bullpen is just full of garbage. This is where the Astros need to fix for next season if they want to see success !!!!

What an epic choke job, holy cow. Lost for words.

Worst Astros lost that I can remember, one of the top chokejobs in all of Houston sports.

I put the blame between Harris and Hinch at about 60/40. Harris has been a complete ****bag the second half of this season, but Hinch knew that and still decided to keep him out there even AFTER he let 2 baserunners on to lead off the 8th. Hinch is TERRIBLE at damage control, and it's cost us games both in the regular season and in these playoffs. I have no idea what he's thinking by not trotting Fiers out there to maintain a lead going into the bottom of the 8th.

    Bigger question going forward.

Do we have anything in the system that is a lockdown closer?
All I hear about are starters. Where's the relief guys?

That error killed us on the 8th...should have been at worst a tie game or a one run lead.

Wasn't Pujols homer in 2005 similar? Didn't the Stros travel to St. Louis after that and won the next game?

If any team can bounce back from this, it would be a young & dumb team. We need Mchugh to pitch a gem and keep Harris to stay in Houston. **** him.

Maybe try Mike MOFO Fiers at some point?

You kept him on the playoff roster for a reason.
