From what I saw, Ty played fine on both ends. My problem is that PF position. I really do not like D-Mo or T-Jones. Hoping we get a vet PF.

Don't really care though if we're winning haha..

I'm blown away you still have the audacity to not only show your face after being throughly outed as a fraud, but to also continue to pretend you're an "insider."

The team is better with Lawson on the floor end of discussion. The only reason Beverly works as a pg is because of Harden. Otherwise he is not a pg.

Didn't James ask for some playmaking help?
    Surely everyone remembers that?

James was the ONLY real playmaking threat with our starting unit.
Remember giving him the ball, and letting him ISO for 10 sec and
having to jack up a shot?
He was tired (literally and figuratively) of being the ONLY option on the floor.

Hence, Ty Lawson was brought in as an additional playmaker.

Makes no sense to have Lawson as a regular with the second unit.
James would be back to square one.

If Ty doesn't start, how many minutes max do you think james and Ty will be on the court together?

Lawson must be the starting point guard. Bev will be fine off the bench.

Let's not go there. We could still get Rondo or Rubio OR Dragic or Lowry

    Never say never.

I believe you put your best 5 on the court as starters. And I believe that is Ty Lawson by a long shot. Lawson has both the pedigree, and experience, and ranking in the top 15. Bev does not have the pedigree, but has worked hard to get into the top 40 pg. It seems a clear choice. Bev is a good enough shooter he can play off the bench, and if a smallish PG to defend we can sick him on somebody as needed. Ty is the man.

you refuted your own reason for being "blown away" lawson/ariza/howard or later dmo. 1 of those 4 or 2 of them will be on the floor at any given time. you don't typically have 5 bench players out there at the same time.

What are you talking about? Ginobili used to be the starter. Pop bringing him off the bench to help the bench offense. Spurs can do that because Duncan+Parker+Ginobili have played together for seasons, they know how to play with each other. Lawson is new here. You can't bring him off the bench and suddenly have him know how to play with Harden and Howard in the 4th quarter and playoff. Right now you need them to spend as much time playing together as possible.

Ginobili has always been fragile physically. He was not starting even before Parker was on the team. It had nothing to do with fitting the so-called second unit better. If he did, why would Pop play him with the starters in the 4th quarter?

I've said this some time ago in anther thread. A starter is a player who plays 30+ minutes a game. If a guy who is one of your top 5 players with no physical limitations, you play him that much. If you have 5 players who play that much, they will overlap more than half of their playing time. It doesn't matter whether they play at the beginning of the game together. Not playing a starter caliber guy at the beginning does not really address the "fit" aspect because they will have to fit each other no matter what.

If you have to play a top 5 player less just because of so-called "fit" then your roster is problematic.
