I am guessing the same roster for the Yankees except add McHugh, McCullers and Kazmir and remove Fields, Tucker and Duffy.
I'm having flash backs of 2004 and 2005. That feeling of the Astros in the playoffs, the city finally making some noise for this team. Let's go #CrushCity!!
A Houstonian not cheering for UH.... acceptable Mentioning ugly uniforms.... blasphemy Sign of the times, I guess
Here's the 25 man. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">ALDS is here. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a> roster announced. <a href="http://t.co/fOqljFEwBN">pic.twitter.com/fOqljFEwBN</a></p>— Julia Morales (@JuliaMoralesRS) <a href="https://twitter.com/JuliaMoralesRS/status/652151887811088384">October 8, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Would have preferred Villar over Tucker personally but can't complain too much. Guess they want the power bat off the bench although Villar has quietly been a solid hitter this year (and obviously the added speed element).
Seems odd they would have Qualls in for the WC game and actually use him -- effectively, at that -- only to not bring him for this series. I don't know why they keep trotting out Perez, but it scares me every time.
One question: I agree Qualls should NOT be in the 25 men roster, but then WHY was he warming up in the Yankees game in the 6th inning???????????????? Of all players left, the one i wish we could have there is Villar, but then again, who would be out then? Lowrie? Tucker? The good news is Gomez is going to play.
Same here. Just scored a key run for us against NYY and .284 batting avg (.339 OBP) at 116 at bats is not bad at all, but we shall see if Tucker can bounce back. He has been struggling since the beginning of August..
