after the game seeing how happy the guys were for Dream made me smile and reminded me of the good ole days when the team rode Olajuwon's coattails... That win has me juiced! ------------------ Check out my homepage! Loads of sports pics! http://www.public.asu.edu/~sykim/
I just posted in another thread!!! I nearly cried. Who cares? All is well in Rocketland right now...at least until Abdur-Rahim heads to Dallas...who the hell cares? I love this team!!! ------------------ Jazzkiller
I don't want SAR right now, at least after reading Webber's comments... If we are in his top 5 on his shortlist, I say go for it... ------------------ Check out my homepage! Loads of sports pics! http://www.public.asu.edu/~sykim/
slcrocket, I can't agree more. TEARS! (OK! Not the "tear" in "tear apart") I was at SRO (can't go to the game due to the sucky job ) watching the game. The first half was like DEAD. I was so prepared to another disappointing night. BAAM!!! All the sudden in the 3rd ... OK, you guys know what happened. Who was the one who lit the fire? Not to take any credit out of Stevie, but I have to say it's Hakeem. HP described the climaxes, didn't you? Man! I just can't imagine the Houston Rockets waiving or trading Hakeem. I mean I no longer mind the 4-point 2-rebound performance from him (OK! I'm a little sentimental here), because tonight I realized how ONE DreamShake can do to me. DAMN! I cried again! While the tear in my eye is because it was Olajuwon, the hope in my stomach comes from just imagining Francis and a athletic big man (uhummm.....Webber ) dominating the NBA in the future. ------------------
I LOVE U HAKEEM! Man the guy was just AWESOME! He got a standing ovation pretty much every time he did something. ------------------ SUCK POLICE!!!!!! To point out individuals or teams that have managed to reach the pinnacle of SUCKINESS!!!!! ----- GIANTS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The tears were in my eyes as well. I love Hakeem and the Rockets. This game was typical of the early nineties...full of emotion and full of effort. Dream's da best!! ------------------
Tis a love-hate relationship, and we are a fickle crowd. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
I believe it was the fans who lit the fire. They got tired of spending all their money on seats only to see us lose games. So, they knew the first half was bad and wanted to show some support the second half. It got the whole team fired up and, for once, we can actually say we had home court advantage. It was a beautiful sight. Was it free beer night or something? I dunno. I had that tear in my eye, too. I hope to have many more of those in the upcoming games. Surf ------------------
