    Dwight - 265
    Cousins - 270
    M Gasol - 255
    Drummond - 279
    Jordan - 265

Weight obviously isn't everything, but these guys have 20-30 pounds on Capela. I don't think he's ready for that kind of punishment.....probably a year away. As a backup he should be fine. He will be going against Ezeli (255), Josh Smith (225), Brandan Wright (210), Adams (255), and Diaw (250).

I fully expect western conference PFs to go right at DMo, Capela, and TJones in the post. Dwight, our guards and wings all have significant experience and won't be liabilities on defense. The biggest question for us defensively is what we get from our bigs ex Dwight.

Glad he got rid of the Bernie Mac haircut, that made him look like a p***y.

    Those numbers aren't accurate.

I've been following Dwight on Periscope and he said just the other day that the listed weights are wrong and that he actually weighs 280.

That doesn't surprise me....I wasn't sure where to find accurate weights, so I just went with ESPNs.

If that's true, then yeah....Capela isn't ready to handle WC starting centers. I still think he would be fine against the backups, and if GS goes small, I'm comfortable with him guarding Green.

Strength is important, but more oft times aggressiveness even more so. It's about displaying alpha dog intimidation. Capela has shown me he wants to be aggressive, but he doesn't wear it. Show confidence. This is the only thing holding him back.

We don't know when Dmo started vs when Capela started....it does seem like DMo is more of a gym rat and didn't really care for a long vacation last summer, so he may have had more time to train. I'm also not sure Capela has ever lifted, consistently and significantly, in his life before, so there's that. He probably needed some time just to get his form right.

He's looking much more filled out as a player than last year. I'm excited! Hope he can give us a good 15-20 mins off the bench.

There was this guy named Hakeem that played at around 255 or less and he did ok at the center position.

He definitely added weight, and the numbers aren't off. He's just very tall, so think of that.

He's still what, 19 years old? 20 years old?

He'll need another 3-4 years to fill out physically. He'll probably round out in the high 250s, low 260s. No point of forcing it all on at once, if so, most of it'd be fat and secondly would increase chance of injury. He's a big plus for us this season, he needs to keep the defensive intensity while Dwight is out and give us some great minutes and finishing ability.

    Rookie Dwight:

Dwight's not the best example, he had the structure and frame to pack on a lot of upper body mass, but it just takes time to mature. I mean look at AD rookie year and now. He, too, still two-three years more of filling out.

Capela is fine. I don't notice too much of a difference from the OP but in other pictures I can tell. He's so freaking young that I wouldn't expect him to be 260. He will be just fine as far as weight and strength are concerned.
