I'm sorry, I know criticizing Cat for anything is like calling Jesus the devil, but 13 shots with 6 minutes left in the half????

That's ridiculous. This team is getting very, very hard to watch.

Yeah he took alot of stupid Jordan wannabe fadeaways. But he has advantage over his player. He needs to learn how to pass a little more , but if he does who else will score other than Francis?

Frontcourt of houston needs a CHANGE. I would love to dump every frontcourt player on the team and start from nothing.

5-14 at the half, including some of the worst heaves I have ever seen. Still, defense is the problem here. The Knicks scored 58 points in a single game, and have that many at the half. Pitiful.

12 pts scored by the Knicks in the 3rd Quarter, damn you guys can't even wait till the end of the game.

Why follow sport at all if you are just going to criticise every single error!!! [IMG]

Has anyone every played a perfect game????

There's 2 things you can do:
1.)Grab a knife and shove it in your eye.
    OR
    2.) Don't watch.

C'mon Rocketman, everyone on this damn BBS knows that all Mobley cares about is padding his stats. That's why in blowout wins, he'll keep shooting. He wants to be an All-Star, not win a championship. He is the antithesis of a team player. Anyone at the Utah game in early Jan can tell you that. I also saw this ridiculous show he put up against Sacto, when he continued to clang throughout the 4th quarter, and got us out of rhythm. I say trade him for Courtney Alexander.

courtney isn't getting PT behind finley and dirk. that's unfortunate. I think Cat does pad his stats a little, but he is still a Rocket and I will ALWAYS root for him.

Let's see, I was at the Utah game. 9 rows behind Houston's bench so I got good view. I sure as hell didn't see that. Maybe if you passed me some of your pot I would of seen that.

In the first place, if Cat's main priority was to be an All-Star he wouldn't have resigned with Houston over the offseason.

And he's not a team player. That's why the team hates him so much they didn't pass it to him...Oh wait here's your pot back. Did that happen. Wait....maybe, maybe, NO.

Of course he wants to be an All-Star, everyone does. That's probably most players' goal.

Lets trade Francis for Jamal Crawford. How could you not do that trade? Imagine the potential...

FrancisFan, there you go grabbing Cuttino's jock just like Rudy. Too bad you've already forgot the "shot heard round the BBS." I believe the thread was titled "Nice heave, Cuttino." He jacked that shot up from 27 feet out, and two defenders around him. One more pass would have resulted in a decent shot. The reason I bring up the people who were at the game, is that we all saw that once he pulled down the rebound, he put his head down and didn't even consider passing it for a second. Everyone in the damn arena knew it.

As for being an All-Star, that's fine, personal goals are good. But to put them ahead of winning a championship is the sign of a bum. "Sure we didn't win, but I put up 30."

Don't get me wrong, Cuttino's a talented guy, but until he learns to use his teammates, we will keep playing this individual basketball we've played all year long. If he would just play within himself he'd be so much more effective. We don't need him to score 25pts a night. We've got enough guys who know how to put the ball in the hoop. All we need from him is to draw double teams, and create opportunities for his teammates.

Yeah but did you also hear the one:

"Cat in the Knick of Time!: From goat to hero, Mobley saves day with game-winning shot in Big Apple"

Guess you forgot about that one?

He was also the one who gave Moochie the assist on his last minute heave against Golden St, even though he waited almost too late, but he did pass it out of a double-team.

Yeah he makes some stupid decisions but improvement on those decisions will come in time when he trust his teammates. One day you will be riding the jockstrap and you will be happy.

Oh the game in Houston, I thought that you were talking about in Utah.

All because someone (anyone with the internet could) started that thread, doesn't mean anything except for it's the poster's opinion.

Francis wasn't open there was a Jazz man right by Stevie.

And I'm not the idiot quoting Bill Walton.

You know, I've criticized Cat as much as anyone. But, the fact is that the guy is seriously talented. Lots of players, Hakeem Olajuwon definitely included, played selfish basketball early on in their careers. Some guys are just that way.

In fact, many of the greats began their career demanding the ball and heaving up air balls. Remember that Kobe Bryant playoff game where he kept firing up 3's and missing all of them? Jordan used to take 30 shots a night and miss 20.

I don't know if Cat will ever reach the pinnacle of greatness in this league, but he has the talent. He just has to gain the experience that teaches him when not to shoot the ball. That takes time.

This is getting ridiculous. Houston loses to San Antonio, people rip on Cat for not taking the last shot. Houston beats NY, people are in this thread just RIPPING into Cat! WE WON THE FREAKING GAME, what else do you want!?

I also remember the OTHER games where he had big games that helped us and hit game winning shots, shots you convienently forget. It's like he plays well, fine. But the minute he makes a mistake people are in the thread just destroying the guy and begging for him to be trade. I swear there are people on this BBS that hate Mobes more then they hate Karl Malone and John Stockton!!! As for trading him for Courtney Alexander, what is Alexander doing that Cat isn't doing!? Jesus. . .
