It's as if he deliberately tries to post the most asinine takes possible.

 Get your gang together now so you can back each other up. Go for it.

I am not saying anything about school. But for the November games it is now a moot point. I know all if not most of the school-aged kids are asleep if the games are on the other side of the world, when it's noon to evening over there and midnight to mid morning here.

For the 2002 World Cup, I remember most games were in the middle of the night, in the wee hours of the morning, NOT when they were awake. Most kids were asleep. Only die hard football fans were watching.

In Germany, the noon games were at 6 a.m. here and I doubt the kids were watching. That was a little bit more unnerving having to watch the games during work for us or for the kids.

For Russia, it will definitely be in the middle of the night before sunrise for most of us in the western hemisphere. Kids won't be up for those. It will be awfully early for noon or before-midday games in Doha.

You do see this, don't you?

And you're proving my point...so thanks.

There were plenty of kids staying up into the late hours of 2002 or getting up early in 2006...during the summer. You do see the difference, don't you?

Put it in November during school and these same aged kids won't be so lucky.

What's so hard to understand about that? Maybe it won't be a huge hit to the ratings but it will be a hit. You're just arguing with me for the sake of arguing with me. This started with me agreeing with you that this move is asinine...and, again, you turn it in to a pissing match. You must be really bored.

my kids are pissed and so am i that a huge chunk of the world cup will be during school.

swoloy you're wrong and full of ****. Me and my 2 boys got up every morning (6am) to watch the Germany group stages. 2010 SA wasn't as bad. The worst was 2002 Korea/Japan. not really a problem for my kids since it was summer but a major problem for me who at the time had to be at work by 7am. I remember games finishing at 3am sometimes. it was brutal. Winter WC sucks, just admit it and quit acting like a fool.

Yeah, Korea/Japan sucked major *ss. Kids were NOT up then. That was my response to leroy420 from the get-go.

I started LOL'ing about November schedules being bad for the leagues (it's FALL still, mind you) and for people to watch from the get-go. :p
