I am not saying they suck for basketball players--they are all among the top 300 or so best basketball players in the world.

Unfortunately--none of the Rockets after our core 3 players are good starting caliber NBA role players or what you would call a good 6th man level. It is our weakness in spots 4-7 (not having any real solid, if less than spectacular, well rounded players after SF-Yao-CM) that will keep us from competing with the best teams and we have done close to zero to address it so far this offseason. A couple of offensive only, defense only, specialists are fine for 8th, 9th, 10th men but we just need some more well rounded talent that can hold there own on both ends of the court.

Anyone who thinks the rockets are a shoe in for the layoffs is stupid! As usual, we made mediocre off-season moves and are counting on people like Cuttino Mobley, who is one of the leagues dumbest players, to lead us. Heres' a hint, the rockets are better without him! He's a cancer to the squad and makes horrible and selfish decisions in crucial games. Phoenix is without a doubt, a much better team than we are right now. Too bad we are gonna suck again with new unis and a new arena!

Sorry, i just tell it like it is and i'm tired of idiots who think they know what they are talking about, running their mouths about stuff that is so far beyond them. I can't wait for the reply Losers!

Now that Dallas has traded away their 2 backup point guards, i say we try to trade moochie norris to Dallas for draft picks, cash, or an expiring contract.. or maybe even someone valuable.. i dont exactly know the salaries of the Mavs players'.. but, just a thought.... what do you guys think?

It's always the same with you homers.

Every season you think that you are superior to Phoenix, it's getting old.

The Suns didn't improve over the offseason but the Rockets did?

Please, losing Posey and adding Piatkowski doesn't sound like improving...
    Adrian Griffin? lol
Losing Rudy T and adding JVG? Improvement? NO. At best it is not losing anything.

The Suns added Zarko Cabarkapa who was tearing it up at RMR and getting rave reviews from EVERYONE who watched him. He is 7' and liked to be a mix between Pau Gasol and Peja.
He will also play with the national team of serbia montenegro this offseason and won the world championship with the team last season.

The Suns also added Leandrinho Barbosa who will be a backup to Marbury that they didn't have and will play for the brasilian national team.

The Suns only lost Dan Langhi which will automatically improve them.

Jake Tsakalidis is completely healthy after having back problems and back surgery all season last season. And he will play for the greece national team.

Stephon Marbury got his ankles cleared after playing the whole season on bad ankles.

Shawn Marion for once doesn't have to play for Team USA and can finally regenerate during the offseason.

Penny Hardaway now has been healthy for a long time other than the freak thumb injury that throw the Suns back in the standings last season.

Gugliotta is coming back from injury. And if needed he could be traded for good value since he has a max contract that will expire.

Joe Johnson is very young and was tearing it up in the summer and got rave reviews from everyone.
He already showed he can be a candidate for MIP and 6th man next season when he averaged 21/5/5 50%FG at the end of last season. He could easily be better than Mobley.

Amare Stoudemire had toe surgery. He played the whole last 2 thirds of the season with a dislocated toe and an injured toe. He also had lasic eye surgery because at the end of the season it was discovered that his lest eye was only like 20-400.

We got valueable playoff experience this year. You didn't. We gave the champions their toughest fight in the whole playoffs and could have won the series if Marbury didn't get injured.

We had a rookie coach last season, we had a completely new coaching staff last season that NEVER worked together before and didn't have the usual time to prepare for the season.

And the argument that Phoenix beat you by 1 game is also getting old.
We made the playoffs 3 games before the regular season ended and threw the last games which is the only reason it was so close in the end.

And lets not forget the Rockets got one game served to them when the refs called a dubious lane violation on Andre Miller which was a NBA scandal.

Before Penny Hardaway suffered that thumb injury Phoenix was having homecourt advantage in the standings.

And please stop your arrogance. Phoenix would NOT rather have Yao, we are perfectly happy with the ROY.

Rockets fans are the most arrogant in the league. I remember when we were beating you guys last season on national TV and everyone of you guys were whining in the chat how they could lose to a team that's so much worse than yours and you should be contenders. WAKE UP

Isn't it sad that the most memorable moments in the annals of NBA history involving the Phoenix Suns result in losses?

Four words for you: Mario Elie. Gar Heard.

Oh, and four more: Michael Jordan. Scottie Pippen.

Oh, and another four: 2-Time NBA World Champions.

Let's continue with the 4-word theme: Suns Haven't Proven Anything.

And some more: Always the bridesmaid, but ...

Fans everywhere are arrogant regarding their teams. At least the Rockets have a HISTORY to support their fans' contentions.

So, we do appreciate the visit, and the comments, for making us realize that the Phoenix Suns have a

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG

way to go before they can equal the 6th-ranked franchise in NBA history (that would be the Rockets, FYI).

Oh, and I know you'll pull out all the "that-was-then-this-is-now" stuff, but bottom line is that the Suns did not get out of the first round. Hope you enjoyed the extra week of basketball.

No problem the Suns are the 4th winningest franchise in the history of the NBA trailing only the winning percentages of the Lakers, Celtics and Spurs.

Since the Bulls have won a total of more championships than the Rockets I guess they will be better than the Rockets this season and their fans should believe that.

Fact of the matter is that Houston has the team that it wanted. Griffin was our highest rated player in his draft (for what that might be worth). Francis was our highest rated player in his draft. Yao was obviously the highest rated player in his draft.

I'd rather be here comparing the Rockets to the Spurs than to the Suns. But nobody outside the inner circle of the Lakers, Spurs, Kings, and Mavericks have a realistic chance of winning the championship.

Look your Suns, Grizzley's, Sonics or whomever your team is, including my favorite Rockets won't be winning any championships this year. The whole point of an NBA season is to prepare for the future or to win a championship. Taking steps backwards decimate franchises.

For all the talk a lot of you people have made, the Rockets have not taken many steps backwards. The year before does not really count because the Rockets were without Francis for an extended period of time.

Face it, we have a team that might not have improved to the point that a lot of us were expecting, but no serious setbacks were noted. And there is a lot of potential still left.

Oh, wait a minute, they wouldn't even call themselves the Phoenix Diamondbacks.

So, actually, Phoenix has won nothing. Especially the Suns.

    0 and 36. Sad.

The only reason our future might be brighter than the Suns is because we lucked into Yao. The Suns have done more with less as an organization, I don't see why ya'll are all high and mighty because we had good fortune smile upon us and usually it is better to be lucky than good.

Time will tell if our org will support Yao and SF with the players they need to compete at the highest level--it does look that good right now.

Did a Memphis Grizzly fan just get on here an start talking trash? That is the funniest thing i have ever read on here. They haven't had a winning season yet, and this doosh is talking smack to the Rockets? Anyhoo, once again i will stake my claim that Cuttino is a horrible team player and should be traded immediately. Luckily, there are still some teams out there that don't realize that he sucks so we should work a deal out, Now! We saw what the Mavs just did, lets stay competitive and go out and sign Kenyon Martin. There is no way that we will be able to contend with the lakers, spurs, mavs, and t-wolves without signing a big name forward. Our roster just isn't equipped with enough role players and vets that are still effective in the paint. We need some smarts for god's sake! I'm curious to see if anyone agrees with me on this.

I have been following Memphis since the Francis trade; and I like the young core that they have build.

I think that is why a lot of team who are in our position (young maturing team) are of so much interest to us, as well us to them. It's who gets over the hurdle first without stumbling.

But, I really like the Rockets core. The future is ours!!!!
