I am surprised these haven't caught on in Houston. I have been making my own.. I wanted to share this with you all: 1. Acai with guarana (they sell it at sprouts) 2. Organic Blueberries, Strawberries and one Banana 3. Raw almonds 4. Fresh Coconut 5. Fresh Granola. My god these taste so good! http://thechalkboardmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/acai-bowl-recipe-2.jpg
I found them at one spot in the heights called Juicy in the sky. In Cali they are on every street corner.. They taste so good. Have you tried one?
That's where I go. On Richmond and Weslayan behind the movie theater. Supposedly another spot a few doors down in the same shopping strip has them too, but I've never tried it. They taste too good to be healthy.
A well-done acai bowl is absolutely delicious and way more filling than a comparable smoothie for example. Which is important to me as a man. I see a lot of "premium" smoothie places popping up, and they have a lot of similar ingredients, and cost the same, as an acai bowl, but of course I'm always still really hungry afterwards. An acai bowl, on the other hand, can come close to filling me up (close, not fully, but then part of having the acai bowl is to be healthy and not get stuffed). All that said, I've also had mediocre acai bowls. The acai base consistency being off, and the combination of fruits and flavors not being perfect. The one I get from an austin place is delicious: Blend: acai, blueberry, peanut butter, chocolate hemp milk Toppings: hemp granola, bananas, crushed cashews, raisins, cacao nibs and honey
How do you pronounce ACAI? I don't want to appear as a chump in front of these people because I'm no chump.
I'd love to try it, but please go ahead and give some specific instructions, amounts, what to blend and what not to blend, the steps in order, that kind of thing. Thanks!
Wtf is this thread. None of those words are remotely close to bbq, fried, cheese, shipleys, or steak.
