How so? Who's hurt that is likely to miss the beginning of the season?

Donatas was not sure, McHale reiterates he won't be ready, pretty much slamming the door on preseason "week by week" hopes.

the Rockets have officially dampened expectations for DMo.

If Dmo is still injury prone, why we let Josh go?

It's the exact same timeline....no one ever expected him to be ready to go by the start of the preseason, it was always the end of the preseason they were targeting and they haven't had any setbacks.

Sure sounds that way. I'm too lazy to check how many B2Bs we have to start the season, but hopefully he's ready sooner rather than later if Dwight will be sitting those out. I'm in on Capela, but uh... yeah. Him potentially being a lone option at the 5 does not incite me to chorus.

    Exactly.
It's demand and supply. I have posted before teams in potential demand for young big (Toronto, Wizards, Indiana, Detroit ) and the supply is almost none. The FA class is extremely poor.

BTW Bobby and bballholic plz don't reply to my message. We all know you think Jones is useless. No need to get again and again in the same arguments.
    Yes. It means Toronto.

If he hasn't played one minute of full court basketball in over half a year and he's still in the process of strengthening his back you got think anyone with a brain will realize he won't be even remotely ready for the start of the season. Everyone's body reacts to back injuries differently and hopefully DMO has a short recovery.

Kevin McHale on Donatas Motiejunas: "D-Mo probably won't start training camp. We'll see where that goes." D-Mo rehabbing after back surgery.

D-mo is not going to start. People can put that to rest now no matter how much some people want to believe he is.

Probably wont start. Even if he doesnt start, he might join 1 week later or something.

he's likely going to be eased back into the rotation which is the smart thing to do anyway especially off back surgery and not playing any kind of basketball since then.

It's no no case I think, It would be strange that DMo wont be in meetings, shooting practice or gym(where he allready all summer long). More realistic case he wont play contact 5x5, 3x3, bet still be with team on the court.

I think the org. Is just taking it extremely slow with dmo because they know how important he's going to be for the playoffs this year. As much as I would like to go into the season with everyone fully heathy, I don't think it's needed.

If dwight is healthy which by all accounts he is than jones,Capella, harelle and dekker can easily hold the fort down. The rockets this season are built to be able to survive for 10-15 games without pretty much anyone other than James Harden and that's what the good teams can all do.
