The trend is your friend. Three bad outing now in a row for Harris? You still want to put him in tomorrow? I would be looking elsewhere till he gets his act together. You and hunch must talk over night regarding the relievers. I didn't say bench him. I said don't use him that one night which was night before last. Usually respect your posts but not this time.
such a heart breaker of a game, where one of your best and reliable bullpen guys gives it up yet again. Strange that luke didn't get to pitch there considering harris has been struggleliiiing big time as of late. two must win games. they can do it. just fokass, bullpen.
**** this team....how can they do this to us? lead us on... the curse of houston sports. dallas will always be greater than houston.
Dude, seriously... I live up here, and I couldn't disagree more. I can't believe there are a bunch of pro-Dallas people on a Houston sports BBS.
Damn. Very tough loss. What the hell is wrong with Will? People are crushing the ball off of him. Looks like the bullpen will be our Achilles Heel once again this year. With Lance & Kuechel up next, I think we can certainly get back to 1.5 games up, at the very least stay within 0.5, but we need to give our bullpen some rest. Win the next 2 and you can semi-salvage what has so far been an awful road trip. 4-6 isn't ideal but with this group I honestly can't expect much more.
Did anyone else have the issue last night with the game not being on ESPN locally? It showed 'Astros vs Rangers' on the guide but when I clicked to watch, it was college football talk.
Wish I could rep but I have to spread rep around but totally agree. Sometimes I think those posters long for the days when the Stros were irrelevant and less people gave a damn about them so they could have their nice and cozy Astros section on Clutchfans again all to themselves. These posters look down their noses at other posters for not knowing baseball and overreacting but they are just as petty with their insistence on policing the forum. Leave that up to the moderators. They definitely need to get over themselves.
Agreed... I welcome posts that encourage the fans to "boo mercilessly" and fire everybody. That certainly adds to the back and forth discussion. There's venting... there's trolling... and then there's lord-of-the-flies dumpster fires. I'll take Bobby and the Texans forum any day over what "this" has become. At least he (and others there) will attempt to defend their opinions and not consistently jump off the ledge (only to come crawling back when things are "good" again).
Totally agree with you. The greatness of a forum is to have many people and with different thoughts. What I do believe is in respect toward the forum members and those police forum guys do the opposite while some members talk baseball, they just disrespect you because you say things they think are not correct and/or they don't like the way you say it. Those kind of people are dangerous
Arent there like 5 more games against the Rangers? And 3 more against the Angels?? Why are most of you crying like the season ended yesterday? Sheesh! It's just now getting intense, fun, and interesting!
The way the Astros are losing games left and right on the road...they are not really that deserving of a playoff spot. I think they mentioned a stat last night that very few teams in the history of baseball have ever been so poor on the road and made the playoffs. Granted, Astros have lost a lot of close games on the road but...at the end of the day...a loss is still a loss. They only have themselves to blame. If it's because they are a young team, then they have some more developing to do in the mental department and/or build experience to last over the long haul of the season. But, these guys are not ones to make excuses. That said...it's nowhere near over. There is hope as we are right there. These guys just need to find ways to win. Sure, no one expected us to be in this position. No one expected the Rangers to be in the position they are in. I recall one projection that the Rangers would finish with a record 23rd in the league with Astros 24th. But, once you start winning, the expectations pile up regardless. We know these guys have the ability to turn it around. But, at the end of the day, it's on them to perform. If they give it their best shot and it is not good enough, then so be it.
oh noes teh astors aint leeding teh deviseun no more teh seesun is ovur Yeah, we totally need more whining.
