Tim Conelly and the kronke are bad owners and GM's

Honestly when was the last time an NBA player truly got screwed for ranting about his previous team? I see players make supposed bad PR statements all the time. I’ve yet to see one who can’t find a job because of it. Everyone will forget this in 3 days. In the end if Lawson plays well on the court, Denver will take crap for being a bad organization. While if he relapses and get rechecked into rehab, Lawson will look like a joke. Whether he takes a shot at Denver management is pretty much a non-factor here.

 

The hell you're smoking? Look at the stats then make an educated response.

People love to judge without the slightest clue about their character.

 

Lawson should stfu. As for character assasination he did the job himself by drinking and driving multiple times in a year.

 

Honestly I'd be pretty pissed if someone we traded threw the org under the bus like that. Of course I hope the Rockets would never air out the laundry on Ty like the Nuggets did in the first place.

 

I wish he didn't say anything either, but you had to think this was coming with the GM going to the media and saying he could smell alchole on Ty's breath at practice.

I mean the Denver org basically went to the media and aired out very personal info that should have just stayed in house. If I'm a player and looking at Denver I wouldn't forget that.

What stats? Ownership and GM stats?

 

If he didn't have baggage, he wouldn't have cost so little. Just repeat that over and over until the worry goes away.

 

He should just keep quiet about it and understand that this whole situation in Denver and the DUI caused him to be on the radar all the time. People are already questioning his character, drive, professionalism etc. so that's why he should be careful even more. Hopefully he learned his lesson regarding drinking and stays out of the spotlight as much as he can.

 

To be fair, Denver aired all the dirty laundry first. Wasn't the owner the one who said he could smell alcohol on Lawson?

Of course, it's always better if Lawson stayed quiet, but you would expect the organization to be a little more professional in handling sensitive things like DUI.

 

But they were in a tough position with the fans. Their team is bad (largely due to the fact Ty is right - they do have a bad GM and bad owners) and they just traded away their best player for Nick friggin' Johnson. They had to explain themselves to their fans and the "Ty has an alcohol problem" thing was basically the only way to go. And the guy does have a problem. Our front office hasn't been shy about talking about the great progress he's been making in that area of his life - but to acknowledge he's making progress is to acknowledge he has/had a problem.

 

I'm not sure which interview you're referring to but the piece that was posted in one of the threads didn't read like a character assassination. At that point Lawson had already gotten two DUIs within an short time span and checked in to a rehab center for alcohol related issues. Everything was already public.

Denver did a solid to Ty by trading him to Houston, someone should tell that to his entourage so they would tell it to Ty.

 

Truth. My hunch is that Lawson is a rental. We shall see.

 

I would agree that he needs to keep his mouth shut, but this is absolutely true.

1) Fired Masai Ujiri, who is probably the best GM they could realistically get
2) Fired George Karl
3) Signed Kenneth Faried to that ridiculous contract
4) Gave big extensions to Gallinari and Chandler

I can see why Ty would think Denver is poorly run.
