    Really cool article. It's funny how the Spurs and the Raptors have the same $ payroll yet the Spurs are one of the most cost efficient while the Raptors are one of the least. I wonder where the Rockets would rank?

    Of course Rose is one of the most cost-effective players. Good players on rookie contracts and the absolute top superstars are the most underpaid players in the game.

    It's interesting to see the Knicks among the more cost effective payrolls for a change, now that they've finally gotten out from under Thomas' mess. The Rockets would probably be near the top of the list if we didn't have close to $20 million sitting on the sidelines in street clothes.

    The Rockets have to be the least cost efficient team in the league. Large chunks of our salary is always tied with injured players so no way we can be efficient.

    Bulls / Thunder will be contending for years to come barring any major injuries to their star players.

    i'm not sure where they got NO with a payroll of 47.7M when hoopshype has them at 68M.

    and it looks like the rockets would be 7th if you took out yao's 17.6M that didn't help us at all. and we aren't getting a huge boost from rookie contracts like chicago (rose and noah) or max contracts like miami.
