Are you going to tell Fiddy that they don't play in the Astrodome anymore?

Calm down on the threads. You have 6 on the first page and it is bumping interesting ones off. Have something to say with some thought behind it instead of always just humor please. @tinman

Many men wish death upon him, so he's moving where Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground laws are taken more seriously.

This is rich. When what's his name had half the threads on the front page with his stupid ass titles practicing his comedy routine was that okay?

Tinman does mix it up and his thread subjects may seem random but they are relevant to larger issues.

God bless him and his threads

    Edit: Carl Herrera threads

It really is REAL now though. It used to be - people would come for jobs. Oil & gas, then healthcare, tech, etc... but now that more and more people in good jobs are being allowed to work remote permanently, it seems like SO MANY people are coming (or planning to come) for the affordable land and no state income tax.

    I don't know about 50c though, he's a wankster. I prefer 1c. Air Penny for life.

I don't really regard rich people coming to Texas to take advantage of our systemic economic inequality to be a good thing.

Sounds like Fifty Cent has some deal going, so not necessarily thinking of him. But much of the draw for rich people from the coasts is the low tax environment. And we charge low taxes because we don't pay for things like expanded Medicaid, decent public schools, a credible unemployment support, regulatory enforcement, and other social welfare spending that their own home states provide all their citizens. They're rich, have their own health insurance and private schools, so they were never using social welfare for themselves anyway, so they want to go to some place like Texas that doesn't care about poor people so they don't watch their tax dollars frittered away on the essential needs of other people. And, since we're not taxing those incoming rich people (aside from their sales tax and real estate tax), they don't do me much good by being around.

I don't like how us Texans brag about our wealth and nice government things as if we aren't blessed with oil. That being said oil wealth is shared and managed well as opposed to our neighbor Louisiana.

So we don't need state taxes. We for instance have the wealthiest public university and it's not close and up until the early 2000's it was incredibly affordable

I don’t notice CH’s threads be because there is not prevalent shtick that is present in every one of them.

I can also have an opinion as well as you. And in my opinion it’s annoying when id rather read something here with more nuance no matter whether I agree with it not.

So you can kindly f*ck off fatty
