    i have both.

zune (old) 30 gig and ipod touch 8 gig

depends what you use it for. I use my touch for the car and wifi.

zune contains all my music since it's bigger.

They announced the zune hd recently and it looks pretty sleek. No more squircle, and hopefully they outfit it with something more than the meager capacities of the ipod touch.

I'd get the zune 8/16 if the screen's real estate wasnt 20% blank bezel. Ill stick with my rockbox ipod till then.

I prefer iPod Nano or iTouch.

I had a iPod nano 4gigs months ago and it really worked fine to earn my love. :D

Wow. I need to get to work. I've taken all this week off with a sick dog. Thanks for the news, man.

I said Zune - but only because my 5th gen iPod Video just turned into the most expensive paperweight I've ever owned this past week.

That zune HD is interesting. I like the concept of being able to carry it around and attaching it to any HDTV to watch HD movies. Easier than me carrying my PS3 to people's houses to watch movies that's for sure. Most everyone these days has a HDTV. Not everyone has a HD movie player just yet.

I've never bought either and never understood why people pay more for them when there are cheaper alternatives. I have bought counterparts for my girlfriend, sister, nephew, niece, and myself and they have all worked fine and do the things these players do for less.

    Engadget Zune HD preview

Looks pretty sweet.... If MS prices this thing aggressively enough I could see them finally making a dent in the marketplace.
FWIW I love my Zune 30 gig classic and don't leave home without it.
