Baseball salaries are ridiculous. Zack is getting more than manning, brady, lebron and he isn't even a top 10 pitcher.
I guess it might come off as a bit cold if you gave this as a reason, but I would be a little bit wary of giving that much money to a guy with a known anxiety disorder, particularly since he's pitching in LA for a high-profile team that, in least in theory, will be contending right away.
