    This guy is an absolute superstar in Japan. But he left it all to try and become an NBA player. Opposite of a guy like Sergio Llull who was happy enough to be a big fish in a small pond.

    Yuki Kawamura signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls on July 19, 2025.

    His salary for the 2025-26 season will be $636,434.

    A two-way contract allows players to split time between an NBA team and its NBA G League affiliate. Kawamura, a 5'8" point guard from Japan, previously played for the Memphis Grizzlies and their G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle. He signed with the Bulls after an impressive performance in the 2025 NBA Summer League, where he averaged 10.2 points, 6.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game.
