I have had Sprint for a while now. I'm thinking of switching to another carrier. Their customer service is just awful and they can't manage to keep some good phones on the shelf. Some of them are pretty expensive too.

Cingular is everyone's favorite, and worked best for me when I lived in Waco. However now that I'm back in Houston I have T-Mobile. Works literally everywhere, never lose signal. I've also had several good experiences with their customer service. Even though the last time I called for help on something the T-Mobile girl asked wayyyy too many questions about my personal life. But at least she was friendly and helpful. :)

Ive had Verizon and Cingular. Verizon gigs you with limited flexibility contracts and loopholes, Cingular gigs you with refurbished malfunctioning phones. In the end Cingular gigd me the least.

I believe so. I was in line trying to get a problem fixed at costumer service and an elderly couple was complaining that their phone didn't work. Apparently they got a refurb as their 1st phone (from what I took from a LONG convo full of yelling). Mine came in an opened box and had some slight wear. So... As far as I can tell yes. Maybe mine was not a refurb. But definitely not brand new.
