Well I might have lost my mind but I traded in my 350Z after only 1+ year of owning it for a 2002 Lincoln LS V8. We haven't done one of these in awhile but what is your vehicle history?

    Mine is as follows:

    July 1989 - August 1991 - 1980 Datsun 510 (4 speed)
    August 1991 - September 1997 - 1990 Ford Escort LX (5 speed)
    September 1997 - January 1999 - 1992 Honda Prelude SI (5 speed)
    January 1999 - June 2001 - 1994 Toyota Camry LE V6 (automatic)
    June 2001 - October 2004 - 1997 Nissan Maxima SE (automatic)
    October 2004 - mid December 2005 - 2003 Nissan 350Z (6 speed)
    mid December 2005 - ? - 2002 Lincoln LS V8 (automatic)

The 350Z was definitely the best and most powerful car I have ever driven and owned but it wasn't a practical car and really, truthfully, too MUCH car for me. The Camry and Maxima were both solid and I am really loving the Lincoln (even though it has been like 2 days of ownership). Worst car I owned by far was the Prelude, believe it or not. Unfortunately for me, I got stuck with a lemon (thus the reason for keeping it a little over a year).

1988 Toyota Camry (130,000 miles or so) - was in 3 wrecks, only 1 was my fault, and had had it by the time I sold it. Pretty reliable car.

1997 Nissan Maxima (128,000 miles) - bulletproof car. I think I had 1 repair out of warranty on this thing and that was a dead starter after 120k+ miles. I think it could've run for another 100,000 miles.

2004 Acura TL (45,000 miles so far) - the only thing I don't like about this car is the rear seat that doesn't fold down, some rattles, and goofy leather. Outside of that, it's an awesome car that's been reliable so far, but I'm just breaking it in.

Manny, you never seemed like a 350Z kinda guy... :) Your reason about practicality was the reason I didn't get a G35 coupe.

    -1992 Neon Blue w/hot pink lettering Geo Tracker 4X4!! (January 1995-April 97)
This was my first car. What a pimpmobile that thing was! I loved it at the time, but looking back I probably looked like a huge tool driving around town in it.

    -1997 Chevrolet S10 (April 97-October 2000)

    -2000 Acura 3.2 TL (October 1999-September 2000)

    -2001 Ford F150 (September 2000 - April 2003)

    - 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE (April 2003 - Now)

I actually have the S10 again now too. My parents were going to get rid of it, but the damn thing still runs so I usually drive it on my 15 minute commute to work, and the wife drives the Altima. Gonna ride that baby until it dies.

My first car was a piece of crap, early 70's Olds Cutlass when I got my drivers license in '76.

My first new car was a Toyota Celica. It was a horrible buying experience (I got taken to the cleaners.), but I learned a lot and vowed to never get jail raped like that again.

Lots of hand-me-down cars from high school through college. I usually got them when everyone else in my family had already driven them into the ground.

1997-2006: 96 Chevy Blazer! Paid it off in 2002 and haven't had a car note since.

Exactly why I still drive my 1997 Eddie Bauer V8 Explorer....bought and paid for and has 100k miles.

It is paid for, and runs great.

Not counting the cars my parents passed down, I've had only 1 car-
2002 Nissan Sentra Se-R Spec V. It has a long name. I'm planning on keeping it for a while.

Before that I drove a '92 Nissan Pickup throughout college and first couple of years of work.

1976 Ford Capri. -- "german engineered" it said. Just meant parts were more expensive. I did all the repairs on this one which meant it was barely running when it died. They gave me $200 on a trade on this one...and when I asked for more...they told me it was the least they were allowed to offer. This happened at three different dealerships.

198? Yamaha Maxim. Great bike. But cold in the winter. Stopped riding when I bought my first convertible. Sold it to a friend....his mom still holds a grudge.

1988 Chevy Sprint. Cheapest new car I could find. Learned how to drive a stick on the test drives. The little bugger got 50 mpg, and drove through snow better than most. I actually liked this car...but could never admit this out loud. Like a North American mini -- with none of the glamour.

1976 MGB. Back to car repairs for me. Fun car....but not reliable. MG drivers wave at eachother on the road. I think it's because they know how lucky they each were that their cars started that morning.

1992 Jeep YJ (Wrangler). Back to new for me. Still own this car. Has 100,000 miles and doing great. I've replaced the brakes and the starter and other than oil changes...have had no other repairs. They offered me $1000 on a trade....so I kept it!

2005 Toyota Sienna. I know....minivan. When kid2 came along, we no longer physically fit in the jeep. I thought this would be our only car...but...as they offered me peanuts for the Jeep....we're now a two car family. This pains me...but it is pretty convenient.

My main mode of transport next year, however...will be my 2001 Rocky Mountain. Getting back into cycling mode...

[1999 - 2000]: White 1990 Honda Accord DX, automatic - 216,000 miles at trade in

[2000 - Present]: Milano Red 1998 Honda Civic EX, automatic - 107,000 miles

    [2002 - Present]: Black Emerald 1994 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo, 5-speed - 125,000 miles

The Accord was a hand-me-down (mom, then sister, then me), the Civic was purchased for me by my parents in my senior year of high school, and the 300ZX TT was my first foolish venture into debt. I just HAD to have it, and somehow convinced my dad to co-sign on a loan with me. Let's just say that my car note and insurance were about $900 per month and then there's premium gas on top of that. Almost as soon as I got it the original clutch went out (104k miles), then the new clutch burned up in less than 3k miles but when I sent it to the company they said nothing was wrong with the pressure plate and therefore I was sh/t outta luck. Spending $1,500 on a couple of clutches was not exactly a great start...

So, I made it about 6 months before I got upside down and needed my dad to cover me on payments. I owe him, umm...many dollars. :( Love the car though, that's for damn sure. :D

Not sure what my next car will be. I will probably have to sell the 300ZX for the sake of practicality, but I should be able to get a good 5 or 6 more years out of the Civic for sure. Maybe I can hold out that long before I get something, since that's right on schedule for when me and the girlfriend plan on having one of those things...what are they called? Oh yeah, babies.

You've only put 21,000 miles on a car in 3 years!??! I've had my Altima since April of 2003 and I've put 78,000 miles on it!
