I think after Manning, Brady and Brees, it's a really tough call. I would definitely put McNabb and Roethlisberger in the 2nd tear, but after those two everything goes out the window. I'm surpised you don't have Rivers in the discussion. I think he's better then Eli actually. I also think a healthy Schaub is really good. I guess it's only fair I do a list since I'm critiquing yours.

    1.Manning
    2.Brady
    3.Brees
    4.Ben
    5.McNabb
    6.Rivers
    7.Palmer
    8.M Ryan
    9.Eli
    10. I'm going Shaub here. You can make a case for a variety of guys here, but very few QB's in the league are playing better then him right now.

Absolutely. I completely spaced on that one. In fact, I'd plug him in right after McNabb in my rankings. Good call.

but he's not better than the top 9 i have listed above IMO, and Eli is one hell of a QB, he lost his top 2 receivers from last year and their running game isn't like it was before.

I'd put Schaub, Romo, and Warner all above Eli and especially McNabb. McNabb these days is really living on reputation and great Eagles defenses.

If the list is for this season, Schaub needs to be higher and I say that as an objective fan. No homer in me.

How do you figure? McNabb has 9 TD's and 1 pick in the five games he played in.

Huh? McNabb is clearly still an elite QB. Look at what he's done this year playing with a broken rib.

My list is a little weird.

    1) Brees/Manning/Brady
    4) Schaub
    5) Palmer
    6) McNabb
    7) Rodgers
    8) Rivers
    9) Roothlisbooger
    10) Flacco

    So?

He had two big games. One against the worst team in the NFL, and another certainly more impressive one against NYG. He had a mediocre game against the Redskins, and two pretty horrendous games against the Raiders and the Panthers.

The guy is as inconsistent as it gets. You can't expect consistent production from him week in and week out. That just isn't the definition of a top QB to me.

Does it feel like there are actually a bunch of really good QBs in the league right now?

When you make these lists and players as good as Romo, Warner, McNabb, etc are being thrown around on the bottom of the top 10 list, there are a bunch of good QBs.

The Panthers are #1 against the pass.

The Redskins are #2 against the pass.

The Raiders are #13 against the pass.
