Freak, lol!

Slightly undersized, solid low-post and "garbage points" scorer, pretty good rebounder, average defender at best. As noted, a black hole when he gets the rock (think, Chris Gatling). He hates it in Vancouver so he would welcome a trade. He works hard, but shouldn't start for a contender. But then, its not like the Nugs have made the playoffs lately, have they? [IMG]

Hey, thats why I mentioned Gatling. Thought it would tell you exactly what we meant about Othella's passing "skills".

IMO that Gatling is better, tho. He is a better scorer with more range than OH. And he made the all-star team a few years back, didn't he? Something that I don't see Harrington doing in his career.

Y'all were darn quick to give up on Keon Clark, huh? What happened to his "potential"? Now he's a trade throw-in.

He's the featured part of the trade. However, team management is upset with his lack of work in the off-season. He'd rather be getting high and playing playstation than working out. IF he's going to have the year we want from him, he needs to get his 220 lbs. ass in the weight room.

He wouldn't start for us, thank God. The thing I like about Harrington is, from what I've heard, he's a tough player, plays bigger than he actually is. He might be able to play some minutes for us at center, which would be nice (I think Mark Strickland is going to surprise a few people this year, he's built for our offense -- granted, I'm talking only 8 points and 4 boards a game, but you get my point).

If anyone's interested here is the info on the Nuggets possibly dealing for Harrington.

he's okay but i think some rocks fans overrate him..he would be a solid contributor but the freak is definitely right that guy does not know to pass to save his life...give him the ball and i guarantee he will shoot it..

i was never too impressed with him to be honest with you...

Depending on whom we deal (Stith, Alexander + Clark probably would do the deal), this could be our depth chart:

C - LaFrentz, N'diaye, McClintock
PF - McDyess, Harrington, Strickland
SF - Posey, McCloud, Bowen
SG - Abdul-Wahad, Lenard
PG - Van Exel, Herren

Also, you forget, we had two of the biggest black holes in basketball in Dikembe Mutombo (damn we miss him) and Chris Gatling. We're used to it. [IMG]

Harrington may not be a starter and may be a little short (I wouldn't count on him to play C unless you're playing some serious small ball), but he is a tremendously hard worker, which makes him worth having, and has a very friendly long-term contract. If the Grizzlies haven't poisoned his work-ethic too much, you'll be happy to have him. The black-hole stuff is irrelevant since he wouldn't be a starter anyway.

Othella is a decent starter, but the perfect guy to be your 6th or 7th off the bench, like he was with us. Personally, I think he's better than Kenny Thomas as of now. Of course, if you compare rookie seasons, Kenny was better, but with much more playing time.

To have a guy like Othella who can do the dirty work and work hard, anytime team would want someone like that if he can come relativley cheap.

But why trade Keon Clark? Isn't he also a PF with a lot of potential?

At least Harrington gets a few rebounds! He's got a decent left handed post game and brings high energy to the court!

Of course he's not real intimidating on defense
