@MadMax Yall would like American Rust, which also just got cancelled after 2 seasons. The book (season 1) is quite good as well.
Finally finished it, what a great show. eta: glad they're not doing a season 3, I'm not sure where the story could go with Judge in prison and I'm glad they left the future of b****wife Baxter and Big Mo ambiguous (but you know who wins that one) Rosie Perez was the wroooooong actress for that role (my only real complaint) @MadMax, have you ever been in a courtroom with the decor and lighting of a proper speakeasy/jazz club? (the Eugene trial)
I wish lol. I tried cases earlier in my career (all transactional now) and all the courts in TX try to incorporate as much limestone as is humanly possible
Courtrooms in real life never look anything like courtrooms in TV and movies. They always look so dramatic in TV and movies but more like a conference room in Office Space in real life. Keep in mind I'm only basing that on my experience with jury duty....
The ones in Harris County are pretty nice...relatively "new" buildings. I just think it's funny that state courthouses across Texas always lean hard into limestone like justice can't be found without it.
I wont rest till that portrait hangs on the wall directly behind the judge of every court in the great State of Texas.
