Your parents know about this? Did they press charges?

Mine was Calvin Murphy. Met him in the parking garage after a game and got him to sign my Yao Ming foam head. I asked him where did he get his suits from and he started laughing. Cool guy.

I gave it to my husband! Need to get a jersey to put it with though!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get Mutombo's or Ahman Green's! I would prolly pass out though!

Tony Eusebio! I remember lingering around the Astros dugout in the Astrodome and nobody reaching toward me to sign anything. Direct eye contact with Bagwell, Biggio, and Bell was fruitless. After they'd gone into the dugout before the game, Tony walked up and signed my ball and even took pictures. Nice guy.

    Rodney McCray.

I used to go to Chaplewood church and play ball in their gym all the time when I was in high school. One day (while he was still with the Rockets) I walked in with some friends and he was playing there. It was a very surreal moment.

I got him to sign my Hakeem Etonics, which I was wearing. Unfortunately they were the only basketball shoes I had, so within 6 months the autograph had worn away. :(

Xavier Hernandez ~1990. I have several autographs from Astros from that time on the same ball. I'll try to take a pic and post it later.

Muhammad Ali, 1971 when he fought Buster Mathis. He was walking through the Astroworld Hotel lobby.

    Terrell Brandon.

I do agree that at some point you realize a picture is better, except if the athlete is a superstar like MJ or Ali. Then a pic and autograph is needed.

That is awesome!!! Good score Rashmon!

When I was a little kid, the local police in Huntsville held a charity basketball game and some of the Sam Houston State Bearkats and a couple of Houston Oilers played in the game. Well, one of the Bearkats (his name escapes me) was (H)Akeem Olajuwon's cousin...so Akeem came to play in the game. My dad sorta knew who he was and, with my Houston Oilers pennant, I went over and got his autograph. This was before the Final Four visits and future successes. Looking back on it, that was pretty cool that my dad called that one out before it happened. Funny thing is...at the time, Akeem's cousin was big for the Bearkats...but I never got his autograph.

    Joseph Kahn.

Music Video Director of various folks. Movie Director. Commercial Video Director

I don't see his videos much on MTV.
It may have to do to the fact that there are no Music Videos on MTV.

That's the only autograph I have. I have no clue where it is.

I met booker t, but never got a picture.

I don't really care for autographs too much. Pictures are cool.

    Talking to them is best.

Mine was a player in the MLB for the Yankees, Randy Velarde. He lived in the house behind mine when I was growing up in Midland, TX. We used to run down the street and ring the door bell and ask for autographs in the offseason.

What makes the story slightly more interesting is that now, years and years later, he was one of the names listed in the Mitchell Report for steroid use... cool! :D

Please never ask any Houston players for their autographs. A real life instance of "signing your life away"...

The only autographs I can remember getting in person are autos from Rob Thomas and Adam Gaynor from matchbox twenty. I am a huge fan of mb20. After one of their concerts in Dallas, I waited after the concert to meet the band and they were the two that came out to visit with the fans. They were real cool and I got them to autograph a limited edition CD of theirs.

Now I prefer to get pictures with celebs rather than autographs if I ever see them. the two I've been table to take pics with recently are Chris Bosh of the Raptors and the former WSOP champion poker player Scotty Nguyen.

What's with all you losers answering TWO names of athletes/celebs instead of 1? Dude asked for FIRST AUTOGRAPH, not first few.

I believe my first autograph was Sleepy Floyd, at the Oshman's on Post Oak when he had a free-throw-shooting contest. I also asked him a silly question:
"How's your relationship with Hakeem?" (I wanted to know if they ever went out to eat, talk, etc.)
"What do you think, we're dating or something, kid?" <- his response. :D
    Sort of embarrassing, though.
