My co-worker and I had conversation about how production companies LOVE to remake classic movies which annoys me!

What's your favorite classic movie and has it been re-made?

My all time favorite movie is Cinderella and it has not been remade except technological improvements.

Another classic movie is Neverending Story. I LOVED that movie. It is in development to be re-made in 2012.

How old does the movie have to be to consider it as a classic, Lady_Di?

I'm just basing it on movies when I watched as a young child.

It doesn't matter how old it has to be.

At least when talking about real classic movies. Picking a favorite movie from the 1970's forward is impossible for me. Too many great ones to choose from.

remakes are just a lack of originality IMHO...that being said, why remake Karate Kid or Predators...next thing you know, they'll be remaking E.T., Wall Street or the Goonies...

Probably Inception, but I'm still debating between that and The Dark Knight.

They better not remake E.T.! That is pure gold.

Good one. Any of the 'real' spaghetti westerns qualify here, too.

Those flicks were the beginning of modern film making, IMO.
