What is your opinion of Yao

  1. I am pleased with his progress, he is worth his max contract.

    325 vote(s)
    94.5%
  2. He was not worth a #1 pick, the Rox should have gone after someone else.

Back in the day, meaning Yao's first 3 years, there would be so many negative Yao threads ie Trade Yao, Yao is soft, Yao is too slow, Yao can't jump blah blah. It seemed to me that there were far more YOH than YOFs. I wonder where the GARM stands now as far as Yao so can you answer this poll and perhaps comment on what Yao can do to make himself a better player or teammate like working on a perimeter shot, becoming more vocal with the team.

Yeah. probably is. I never started a poll thread so I don't know what an open poll is. The purpose is to see the objectivity of the GARM because at this point there shouldn't be haters left but there is always that possibility because Barkely and the ESPN talking heads still knock Yao.

The public Poll allows others to see who voted what.

seeing how amares knee is affecting him and might be a big future problem, yes i rather have yao. i do agree he is overrated and probably not worthy of a number 1 draft pick, but definately top 3.

amare would not be a great center on a normal team. the suns are a bunch of freak gazelles that can outrun any team without much fatigue doing it. Yao Ming is everything a center should be. he is a great all around player. he is not dominant in any one area but he is very good in all facets of his position.
