wow what a game. Where did the aggie offense come from? and where did that aggie defense go? Thats 6 of the last 8 that the red raiders have taken away from the aggies. maybe tech will start to get some respect its a shame that it wasnt seen on tv what a joke. tech is slowly starting to become the 2nd best school for athletics in the state of texas. look out . oh ya aggies suck had to get that in
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Aggies have faired worse against the Raiders than the Longhorns over the past eight years...that's crazy. They really have the Aggies number, I guess. As for who's the 2nd best football team in Texas...I don't know. A&M still seems to do better in recruiting, but they have a worse coach. I think an A&M coaching change would settle the battle for second place supremacy.

That was a damn exciting game. I was happy about that. It was the first time I gambled on a game too...and I lost $27.50. but, I'm glad my boys TT, Jai, and Randall played well. I believe that Tech beating A&M means they will be ranked higher, if either are ranked. Happened last year too. Well, at least it was a lot of fun. I'd rather watch offense than defense. Sometimes, I actually like staying after the game after losses better than wins...cause it makes me feel better about A&M. After wins, everybody's all happy and big headed and singing the stupid fight song about UT (I think saying "TU" is stupid). After losses, people are shocked, but respectful, sad, but not emotionally angered (in general). Then we do yells and sing the 12th Man and also sing the Spirit of Aggieland. IMO, the observing how my fellow students act after a loss (in general) gives me some pride in being a part of this school. Some may boast, or prowess bold Of the school, they think so grand But there's a spirit, can never be told It's the spirit of Aggieland We are the Aggies, the Aggies are we True to eachother, as Aggies can be We've got to fight boys, we've got to fight Fight for maroon and white After we've boosted all the rest Then they will come and join the best Cause we are the Aggies, the Aggies so true We are from Texas AMU (non-reg ending that I like) The song is kinda tacky, but so be it...it's a good song and I like it. On a separate note, I will never bet on football again (I know too little about it)...but basketball, I can't wait for the season to start.

I saw AtM as high as 6 in a preason poll i couldnt believe it, if you cant score points you wont win. They might have more talent than tech. Dont the produce the most NFL players? but it seems like the talent is going to waste every year espically when they meet the red raiders. 6 of 8 thats dominance. Throw out the rankings I dont see how they will be ranked again for this year. and for techs last ranking. I dont know im a new student here and have been only following this team for 3 years. So im not sure. i wanna say maybe 95 when they had bryan hansbard and zach thomas. i dont know any long time tech fan fill us in.

How can people still vote for AtM over tech? Tech has more wins. They have played the tougher schedule, no one can dispute that. They beat a respectable team in Ole Miss and forced a OT vs a top 10 team against NC State. What has AtM done? Theyre barely a 500 team (3-2). Beat a decent team in Pitt. other than that they beat to lousiana schools. and neither was LSU. They lost 2 games at home to VT and TTU. Basically they lost both games to teams who were either on a level above them or about even. Tech is 4-2 undefeated in Big 12 play. AtM is 3-2 0-1 in big 12 play. Most importantly TECH JUST BEAT ATM. Its all reputation that is fixing to change. If this happens again next week once tech beats Iowa state and AtM slips by baylor. im never looking at the polls again.
They were in it in 1998 at one point, I believe. All the years run together, though, so it's hard to remember when they were or weren't in the Top 25. But, if we're talking about finishing the season in the Top 25, I do believe 1995 was the last time that happened. Of course, when I started at Tech, winning seasons and bowl games were a rarity. It was a huge deal my Freshman year that Tech managed to win enough games to get an invite to the All-American Bowl. Tech athletics has come a long way since then. EDIT: I looked it up, it had only been nine years between bowl appearances when Tech made the Independence Bowl in 1986, but still.... They did win that All-American Bowl in 1989 during my Freshman year, and that was their first bowl win since 1973.
Tech is NOT a better team than A&M!! Ill give tech their props they were good on saturday but you are not better than A&M. Tech took advantage of a very poor performance by the Wrecking Crew and a joke of a kicker. Its good to see that the polls still show this.

You cant compare Florida to Texas AtM, Atm shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentece with florida. 18. Texas Tech 4-2 Why Texas Tech should be ranked higher: To put up that many points at Texas A&M is unbelievable. A&M might not allow 48 points at home over the rest of the year. The Red Raiders are two feet away on a missed field goal against NC State from being 5-1. Why Texas Tech should be ranked lower: Texas A&M’s offense is getting better, but it still isn’t a juggernaut. There's some guy from collegefootballnews.com who said that they thought all year that UT was overrated and Saturday's game just reinforced that opinion. Funny thing is, before Saturday, they predicted that Texas would win out.
I'm still trying to figure out who you are being more disrespectful to: Texas A&M or General Patton. Maybe you shouldn't take a quote from one of our most heralded military leaders and use it as your own personal jokebox. It's really in poor taste.
