    91.8 ft%

I think Yao can be a 24/11 guy in the playoffs with extended minutes.

Does the March statistics include the Wolves game? I think he has a subpar game which will lower his statistics.

He did make like 30 something freethrows in a row. So I think that added to the HUGE FT %.

I would be satisfied if Rockets go 5-4 and have a 47-35 record.

too bad both shaq (23ppg 14rbd) and kobe (27ppg 6asst 5 rebs) have great month in march as well. else yao should have considered as Player of the month

Don't be too upset. Yao will win a POM in next season.

And now he's got another streak of 24 ft in a row going, so he has been absolutely red hot from the line all month. Wouldn't it be incredible if he could extend it for a whole season, and possibly capture the rare double of leading the league in fg% and ft%.

If he keeps it up with the FT%, Van Gundy will have him shooting the technical foul shots. He is now 0.1% behind Mobley.

I love it.. you don't picture a big center type guy shooting from the free throw line that well! It would be funny if 5'9 Calvin and 7'5 (or 7'6 I hear both of those numbers!) yao end up the two best free throw shooters in Rockets history.

He has arguably the sweetest free throw shot as well as release.

Though guys like Peja and Reggie have the free throw shooting thing on lock down.

I anticipate he will be a 90%+ free throw shooter next season complete with a 55%+ FG shooting. Scoring 22ppg and pulling down 11rpg is what I expect of him next season as well.......minimum. He is also expected to take at least 17 shots per game and blk at least 2.57 shots per game while dishing out at least 3 assists per game.

Non of these stats or expectations are unfounded, inconceivable or unrealistic. He is capable and he will deliver.

Well, it would take an extrodinary player to accomplish the feat. The best FT shooters, by far, are outside shooters who views FTs as basically layups. The players with the best FG% are the inside power players who only shoots from within 5 feet of the basket.

That said, I doubt Yao can accomplish this. I don't doubt his ability to lead the league in FG%, but he's not a 85%+ FT shooter.

I wonder what the Rocket's record is when YM scores 20 or more points, or what their record is in games he was the leading scorer.

    Pretty high, I bet :D

I think that Yao can easily average 22-10 next season, and shooting 53% from the floor, 85% from the stripe.

It's not out of question that he goes for 24-11 which puts him in for first team all NBA and contend for league MVP.

So what, even I can shoot 70% from the stripe and get paid for nothing for my FT shooting skills.;)
