If your a true Rockets fan, you woke up early Sunday morning to see a national televised glimpse our cornerstone player, Yao Ming. While watching the Yao played two things stuck, in relation to his summer progress. His stamina and his weight. Stamina: Yao looked too tired in the game. He repeatedly had his hands on his knees and never made it to the other side of the court. How will Yao far when he returns to the more physical NBA? JVG needs to have him run nothing but sprints for hours at a time. Weight: Yao's workin the weight room is definetly paying off. He no longer has a skinny upper body. If JVG can get him to not settle for the jump shot or the fade away he's gonna get a lot more fouls this year. NOTE: Yao didn't have no dunks against Spain!!!
That's means: He needs to start being more aggresive with all that new found muscle. He's 7'6", the tallest player on the other team was Gasol at 7'0".
i think the fact that he didnt make it down the court is overplayed. i mean they were fastbreaking....it only draws attention to yao at the other end of the court when they screw that up. shaq does this every game....except la had a better finisher in kobe.

Yeah thats true, but to Shaq doesn't have his hands on his knees either.
yao always keeps his hands on his knees. at the start of games, during the middle, and at the end. tired or not.
because jordan would probaly have 40 or 50 points that night and duncked on 2 or 3 people so for jordan it would make sense. Duhhh!!
Yao's stamina isn't just any problem that Rockets fans are complaining about, and if they don't sign a good back-up center it will really do damage to this upcoming season.
