It does not matter how many minutes he plays, Houston just need to cut down his practice time and hopefully he tells China to piss off.
I really have to wonder if playing five fewer minutes a night will actually have any effect. Yao's going to get fewer minutes in PRACTICE. The Rockets have no plans to limit his playing time during games.
his practice should be limited and he should stay in game shape by use of a swimming pool. How about David Harrison he just got cut that's invade we can't trade for a big or mutombo wants too much I do have a feeling something big is coming on trade deadline oh is curry a possibility?
they are planning on having him sit out entire practices to keep him fresh. 5-10 extra minutes in a game is nothing compared to sitting out a practice. i say play him as much as possible without sacrificing his performance, but don't practice him much.
Cosigned. Yao was running himself into the ground by practicing so hard everyday. His activity needs to be regulated so he doesn't work so hard, as ironic as that sounds
Guys are over reacting. Only idiot will let him play heavy minutes every game after the injury last season. I'm sure Yao's minutes will be cut down gradually. With tmac still not even close to his 100%, yao needs to play more than he usually does. I don't reckon our small line up with scola and landry would play as well as last season if tmac is not 100%.
As much as I love that deal, it's highly implausible. The Nets are trying to stock up a core of talented young players to make an attractive offer to LeBron in 2010. Sean Williams, Yi Jianlian, Josh Boone, Brook Lopez, Devin Harris and Chris Douglas-McRoberts make up that core, and they won't be traded for peanuts. Yes the Nets need a shooter or two this season, but the organization isn't worried about winning now. Signing Deke, on the other hand, is probably our best option right now, though I am sure Morey is working on that already.
