Feel free to add one of your own.

In other words, vote for 'Other' and give us your quote.

    A. After a 40pt, 20reb, 10 block performance - "It was a great team effort."

    B. "The fans carried us tonight."

    C. "I'm all about winning."

    D. "It's not about the money."

    E. "We have to take it one game at a time."

    F. Other

(Sorry, I pushed the 'Submit' button too fast, it was supposed to be a Poll.)

"There is no answer to the Pythagorean theorem. Well, there is an answer, but by the time you figure it out, I got 40 points, 10 rebounds, and then we're planning for the parade."

    :D

I can't help but love Shaq's quotes. You can tell he just says stuff just to be funny. I think they're better than Chucky's quotes because Chuckie actually tries to be serious where Shaq just doesn't give a damn.

    Live,

I think Yao already has said "A" and "D"

I've actually developed an entire list of NBA clichés and their rough translations (what the player really means):

    "He's a role player" - he's not very good

"He has character" - he sucks

"He's a leader in the clubhouse" - he sucks and he's old

"He wants to spend time with his family" - he sucks and he's retiring

"He wants the ball" - it's a contract year

"He loves to play the game" - he has a 5th grade education

“He’s a shooter” - he thinks defense goes around de-house

"He's in the dog house" - he slept with the coach's daughter

"He's troubled" - two counts possession, one count wife battery

    "He's controversial" - he's killed a man

"He likes to give something back" - he was sentenced to community service

"He has a future in broadcasting" - he's full of @#%*

"We would never trade him" - he's going to be traded, probably tonight

"I'm just here to fit in and help the team" - they paid me $10 million to score, so get the @#%* out of my way

"We'll be competitive" - we won't make the playoffs

"We need to remain competitive" - build us a new arena or we'll leave

"We showed a lot of heart out there" - we lost by thirty

    "We're rebuilding" - the team is @#%*ed

"The team lacks chemistry" - they're a bunch of @#%holes

"There were some problems with the officiating" - refs @#%*ed us

"There's enough blame to go around" - coach is getting fired

Ming: "It was a team effort, though I know that doesn't make sense since it takes a lot of shots to score 40 points. Anyways. . ."

Steve: "Yao! Yao! Damn Ming, get your ass up, we're here already, time to get your tall ass off the bus!"

Ming: "Sorry Francis Steve, I mean Steve, I was dreaming."

Steve: "Oh, the 40 pt, 20 reb, 10 blk game?"

    Ming: "Yes"

Steve: "In yo dreams dawg, that'll never happen."

Steve: "C'mon, let's go. Yo, Mad Dawg, let's go!"

Kenny T: "Why are you calling me Mad Dawg?"
