We were watching the game in a bar near Toronto. Myself being a Yao Ming fan and my buddies are all Raptors fan.

Yao struggled in the beginning, AD dunked over him (kind of form the side) and right away Yao sent a clear message to everyone by flooring AD 5 feet away (mind you, AD is 240lbs of pure muscle) The block on AD in the last minute was absolutely NASTY!!! If you play volleyball, you know how player slams the ball to the ground as hard as they can. Well, that was volleyball!!! YAO just slams both the ball AND Davis to the ground and all of my friends were left stunned!!! One of my friends said he have never seen Davis got blocked like that. Too bad the ref calls a foul but it kind of cancelled out for a possible call for the Carter missed lay-up.

Overall the ref has done a very poor job, 4 of the 5 fouls on YAO was extremely weak. This game was by far the best this year at ACC. Everyone loves YAO including my dead-heart raptors friends.

    I didn’t see a 22-year old rookie, tonight I saw a leader of tomorrow!!!

Canada loves YAO MING, everyone loves YAO MING!!!

Probably could've gone in the game thread, but a rare new poster with a good first post.

He scored 14pts in the 4th because he didn't sit for half the period also.

It seems that it takes a while for Yao to get into the game action. That's why he does well when he plays a whole quarter.

Yao is not good yet when he is off the ball. Well, hopefully he will improve.

we could feel the love for Yao through our loveovision in Houston. Kudos to the Raptor fans for showing Yao the love.

    Welcome aboard to you....

The allegded foul was replayed here and clearly there was abosutely no foul on that play. But in the final seconds, when Vince drove the lane, there may have been some contact, but he was falling away to change his shot, so the ref probably thought he has no chance and was trying to draw......

    Quote of the game...

Vince on his No call drive late in the fourth.

"Any time somebody sticks out their leg, it's a foul," said Carter, who led the Raptors with 21 points.

Did he forget the second quarter and how he stuck out his leg...but no foul was called.

He whines more than most of the "Fans" here on C.C.

Yep. Vince has been the recipient of more than a few game-winning no-calls himself, so he should just shrug it off.

I watched the replay...didn't see anything having to do with a leg. Maybe it was a blocking foul as Yao wasn't completely set, but, even then, it was just a fraction from being a charge.

If a player jumps such that it would be a charge, yet has the athletic ability to contort himself in air to avoid direct contact, it should still be a charge in my book. You know for certain that if a defender moves to reposition after the player has jumpd, yet is set again before getting hit, it would still be called a block.

Anyway, welcome to the board. Hopefully there will be more reason to watch the Rockets other than just Yao, as has been the case recently.
