I don't want Odom and Ming, just one or the other. I would just draft Yao Ming, Francis, Mobley, Odom, Taylor, Ming. To many guys that just shoot the ball.

Getting both Ming and Odom is a complete pipe dream imo unless the Rockets are willing to break up their backcourt which I really dont see as an intelligent move at this point.

Odom doesn't require a lot of shot's so he plays a good role. He's known for his passing and would be the perfect complement for Stevie and Cat. Plus he can play the point as well which allows steve and cat t he hit the wings. And like Cat said, if that happens it's all over. Lewis simply isn't as complete as Odom. And as far as Ming will be a force for longer, Odom is just as young as Ming and has a unbelievable future ahead of him.

I agree completely ... many people forget that Odom is basically the same age as many of the people in this years draft so he'll most likely carry some serious value to some teams ...

The 2002-2003 starting line-up will likely be:

    C - Yao Ming
    PF - #15 pick
    SF - EG
    SG - Cat
    PG - Francis

Is it going to be the youngest starting lineup in the league?

For the new NBA season I see the starting line up to start the season more likely as this line up:

    C- Cato
PF - Thomas (because of the Taylor 5 game suspension, otherwise Taylor)
    SF - Rice
    SG - Cat
    PG - Francis

I think we are a year (perhaps 2) away from Griffin (PF not SF) and Ming starting for the Rockets. And don't be surprised if we get someone like Nachbar at #15 if he is starting next year. I think if Rice is healthy he is the starter at SF and I don't see Griffin at SF. Thomas or Morris will play there before Griffin.

I remember when Odom was a rookie and in a few games Odom would play the point for 10-15mins in those games. It amazed me so much to see him do it since he's a 6-10 player, watching him bring it down court he's got all the moves (behind the back dribble, crossover dribble, between the legs dribble, 360 spin dribble) and he would get by little 6-0 points with no problem, he just had a little problem on the defensive side as he wasn't as quick (but I think he could hang with 10-20% of the points out there).

Honestly he just has such great handles, it's just that he's too fancy with the passes (kinda like JW of the Grizzles) and gets more than he should with turnovers. I think he's perfect with the rockets, he's not really a ball hog at all, and doesn't look to shoot as much (somewhat similar to SFan as a rookie). He only shot alot because he was one of the two true players that could score in his first 2 seasons but as you see in the last season he only scored 13pts a game once brand was there. He's more pass first than shoot, only when he feels like no one is doing anything (when they are down 15pts) than he gets too aggressive and tries too hard and becomes a one man army and shoots everything. With time I think he could mature and be a true superstar, he's got all the talent to do it. Even though he gets dogged on his shooting touch it's not bad at a career 45%.
