    According to the original report, Yao has bone chips in his elbow, and some wear and tear with his ankle and knee ligament. The doctors didn't think any surgery needed for the ankle and knee ligament, but he should have had surgery on his elbow to remove the bone chips after last NBA season.

    To many of us here who have followed professional sports, we know those are everyday injuries, almost every pro athletes suffer those. I think his toe/angle/knee just need the conventional treatment, like applying ice, acupunture after the games/practices. However, it sounds his elbow does need to have the surgery, but that's a trivia operation, a couple of weeks recovery time should be enough?

    Like NYtimes never claim Texas is part of U.S, it is the truth.
