Yao Ming Cuttino Mobley Eddie Griffin For Kevin Garnett Troy Hudson -------------------- If Minnesotta Loses, they might give up on there team. I mean they play LA? There gonna lose in the first round i fell sorry for them. They would want to start over! Ming would be great for them. Imagine Garnett and Francis. Ming is going to be a 18-19 point center thats about it (Probably alittle better than Rik Smits) about it. Id do this trade! Take the MLE Sign Lamar Odom Pg - Troy Hudson Sg- Steve Francis C - Cato Pf - Garnett Sf- Odom
it's amazing how you know what yao ming is going to do in his career after one year in the nba. a year where he had to learn english. a year where his teammates had to learn that using the center is a good thing. a year where he has been underweight. and year after 2-3 years of playing non-stop. amazing job there, mr. cleo. got any lotto number predictions, as well?
Well, they do say that the winner of the trade is the team who gets the best player. Who do you think is better, KG or Yao? I'd try to hang on to EG if possible, but I'd strongly consider a trade like this. Although, I'm not sure KG would take the 4 over the 3. You might need to give more thought into what you do after acquiring KG.
I can see Ming at his prime averaging 23ppg, 13.5rpg, 4.5apg, 3.5bpg and he is almost 8 feet tall! There is no way I would trade him for Kevin Garnett dude.
Even we don't think that Yao will turn out to good or not. This trade is not good. 1. Salaries don't even match. Yao and EG are on rookie contracts and Mobley's on about 5m a year while KG's making about 20m a year. 2. Did I mention that KG's contract is up next summer? Do you guarantee that we with KG and Francis will definitely make it out the 1st round next year? So if he doesn't resign with us, we would lose him (in other words, Yao, EG, Mobley) for nothing. Also, do you know if KG doesn't take a serious paycut, his next contract will put him earn more than 25-30m a year, which will put us way over the luxury tax land? 3. Odom's a restricted FA. If he wants to leave Clippers, he won't and can't sign MLE with us because Clippers will surely match any MLE.
Mobley, EG, and Yao are better than KG as a whole. There would be no reason for us to do that since it will create even more holes in our already shakey line-up.
This is correct if you can hang on the player. Are you sure that KG will definitely resign with us when his contract runs out? Are you sure that KG is willing to take a paycut so he won't screw us salary wise like he screwed up Minny?
Yeah, I'd be a little concerned about him jumping ship. But I think even KG knows that not even the T-wolves will be able to pay him what's he's making now when his contract expires. Same goes for Shaq. Those contracts were made before the lockout season. They're grandfathered in, but in today's NBA, teams can't afford to spend their entire salary cap on 1 player. Well, maybe if your name is Mark Cuban ... Salary matching issues aside, if the major players in the trade were KG & Yao, I'd have to lean towards pulling the trigger.
No, no, no...you guys have all got it wrong.... Yao Ming is going to average 21.462846382904400265489 pts. and 13.7740026492649202748 rebs/game over a 12 year career, playing at least 76.345 games/yr every season except for that one year when he'll miss 46 games due to that freak heel injury incurred when he slips on a neighbours skateboard... Any idiot can see that.
seriously though, i think the rockets made a mistake not trading that number one pick. but then again i also think they made a huge mistake at number 15. they could have filled so many needs in that one draft. could've traded the number one for the nuggets two first round picks, and drafted amare stoudemire and caron butler. C Amare PF Griffin SF Butler SG Mobley PG Francis pick a true pure shooter unlike nachbar at 15, and the rockets would've been in the playoffs and a more exciting team.
