Just wondering if getting the two lottery picks from the clips and taking

    Amare Stoudemire - 8.8 ppg, 7.8 rpg
    and
    Caron Butler - 13.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.0 apg

    instead of

    Yao Ming - 2.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, .25 bpg

And we still could have chosen

Wouldn't have the Rockets in much better position right now.

We passed over Rashard - the young raw talent for Mirsad Turkan - the supposedly tested European player with a feel for the game and the sweet shot. I hope we will not be saying the same thing about Yao, but it doesn't look good so far.

I know it's very early, but I our 7'6" center plays 6'7". I understand that the NBA is a different game offensively, but there is no excuse for Yao not snatching down board and at least being a presence defensively. Guys are not afraid AT ALL to take it to him. How many times have seen guys just score right over him. You can't teach aggression or desire. Size and talent alone doesn't equal production - see Benoit Benjamin.

Please Yao, step up your game and at least be DECENT.

At least be a marginal factor defensively.

At least block 1 shot a game.

And, to quote Bill Walton, "Get a rebound, please..."
