I saw on the news tonight that Mayor Lee Brown officially welcomed Yao to Houston at some gathering today and officially made today Yao Ming day! Anybody hear any more on this? I couldn't find an article on the Houston Chronicle website.

Frankly I think Brown is trying to get a free autograph.

Actually, that wouldnt be a bad deal. Have Yao sign 100 BBalls, auction them off, go fix some potholes, and name the street after him.

Talk about win win.

And we'll get one of those Wayne Dolcifino type guys to make sure the $ is used for roads and the city workers arent sleeping on the job.
