I can understand that a lot of people are hesitant about Yao and Nachbar because they haven't seen them play.
I have seen both Yao and Bostjan play live.
Nachbar is going to be a good one. He is one of the most exciting players I have ever seen play. Steve Francis and most of you guys have stated that you wanted a guy to come in and help NOW. This is a guy that can do just that. Everyone in Houston will be in love with this guy when they see how great he is from the outside and see his spectacular dunks.
I could see Nachbar turning out as well or better as Yao but I think Yao is going to be special also. He has already rejuvenated basketball in Houston, and he hasn't even played a game yet. Yao can shoot the 3 point shot but I don't see why that is a negative to him. He has a good inside game also and his versatility will allow him to draw the likes of Shaq outisde of the paint and let the Rockets guards drive with ease. Something I would think Mobley and Francis would be excited about. Both of these guys are thrilled to be in Houston and both have the drive and attitudes that it takes to win. If Steve Francis is going to continue pouting because we got two great player in the draft, than I saw good riddance to him. He either can be a team player or he can't.
Personally I am thrilled at the prospect of getting to watch Eddie Griffin develop and get to watch Yao Ming and Nachbar. Next year is going to be great.

Great Post. A quick question about Boki, does he have serious hops, or does he just use what hops he has to dunk really well?

He has pretty good hops. I don't know whether it's his body contol or his hops but the guy can dunk in an exciting way. It's pretty amazing that he has such a great outside shot and yet still can find the rim with ease. I'm sure he wont' find it quite as easy to find his way to the rim in the NBA but he will still be effective driving to the rim.

So the 7-foot 5 guy will win the three-point contest, and the 6-foot 9 guy will win the dunk contest? :)

I suggest you check out the clips of Nachbar Clutch posted. Nachbar looks awesome. He makes threes every way possible--off the dribble, around screens, with guys flying in his face
He finishes strong, dunks with two hands in some guys face, runs the break, goes left with no problem, looks like a REAL steal...
    GREAT PICK
Can't wait to see him, Cat & Steve running off a Ming outlet
    Next season will be crazy...

How did you see them both live? Did they play in the same int'l tourney once or something?

I don't think Steve was ever pouting. I believe that was more of a "rumor". Even if he did "pout" at first, it seems as his tune has changed so please, ease up on Steve, there was already enough hating to go 10 times over on this board. :)

Get on with the season already! Hehe!

Thanks for the info austin. A lot of people in the media and GMs in the league are in LOVE with the guy! Obviously they compared them to Peja, and Turkgalu(sp?), but a lot of people are comparing him to Mike Miller. I'd LOVE to have Mike Miller at SF for the Rockets, and this guy seems to have more weapons then him. If Rice is healthy, Nachbar could be a lethal weapon off the bench!
